About
Golden Hawk Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Casco Township, which is just south of Richmond. You won't find too many elevation changes throughout the course but you will encounter plenty of water. There are also 36 bunkers coming into play on 12 holes. The course isn't particularly long at 6,117 yards from the back tees, but the par 4s offers some good length and the ample room off the fairways gives the course a spacious feel. The fairways are generous and quite forgiving, but golfers will face tough approaches to the greens, which are often nestled into the woods or bordered by ponds. The slightly elevated, undulating putting surfaces require accuracy. Golden Hawk Golf Club is a fair test but it's player friendly enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Early Season Greens- Good shape
Good shape for the time of year, Greens punched but no sand on them yet to fill any of the holes so extra bumpy. Better shape in some areas than when I played it a few years ago mid season.
Your Guess Is As Good As Mine
For this time of year, the course is in good condition. You could tell the greens were recently aerated, especially on the back nine where the holes were healing and the surface was bumpy. My biggest issue was there is not one set of markers on the tee boxes. The forecast looks like we will have at least two more weeks of decent weather. It's odd that a course would remove them.
Beautiful course & friendly staff
This course is beautiful and an easier play for beginners. up kept well and its friendly staff,great prices I will be back plenty in 2025
Golden Hawk
For some reason this course is challenging for me .
Tee times
Tee times every 5 to 10 mins, people constantly waiting or right on your butt.. they try and squeeze as many golfers in as possible in a hour. Often pairing two somes with other 2 somes to try and keep their pace at a rush.
Great course & staff
Everything was great. It was my first time there and the gentleman in the pro shop with glasses ( sorry I couldn’t remember his name) was extremely friendly and helpful. The course layout was good and challenging. I love that they have putting greens at the 1st and 10th tee so you can putt if there’s a wait. I will be back soon

Everything went smoothly and no problems with slow players. Condition of the course is getting better.
Friday afternoon golf
This course has a ton of potential. The layout is classy and interesting. The condition was a little rough in places, but nothing that can’t be fixed. In fact, it looks like they are fixing and upgrading it a bit. For $29 (GolfNow hot deal) it was a very good bargain. I’ll be back, for sure. Also Kevin in the pro shop was very friendly and helpful.
A good option for golf in SE Michigan!
Fun course to play and great for teh price. Staff is always friendly too.
Variety Layout/Great Staff
Considering I played this after an outing on a Sunday afternoon, nobody was on course and my round was 2.5 hrs by myself. Greens were slightly bumpy, bunkers a bit rocky, and the cart paths were terribly dusty. However, the variety of holes compared to most courses was excellent. A challenging layout from the tips, with a few dog legs, some tees over water, and a few inviting par 5’s made for a fun round. Staff was very formal and cordial, including the cart staff.
Gem
This course is a gem. Most courses in my area are flat and wide open. This course has slope and elevation, well place hazards and kept quite nice in a year when other course are suffering. Can't wait to shoot it again!
