Red Wing Golf Course

Pace of play was so bad waiting 15 -25 mins to tee off it 31/2 hours to play 9 . they were letting 6 somes and 5 somes out

No range, is a draw back. Nice course in middle of the city. Lots of elevation changes. Well kept course. Not enough carts so had to wait for them to come back in. Walkers slowed pace of play tremendously bad.

Great views and everything else was top notch. One of the nicest Public Courses I have played great value, with great pace of play.

The course is in great shape and pace of play is great. Elevation and doglegs make for a challenging round, but certainly scoreable. Once you get the green speed down, you should start making putts. Played fast the day I was there.

Couple helpful tips, club up 2 and the putts don’t break as much as they look.

Hole 10 plays nearly 100ft downhill, I shot it st 174yd playing 137yds, downhill 40yds. Fun par 3, try and best my CTP at 7ft! 🎯

Check in was quick and easy. Pleasant staff. Allowed us to golf as a two some. Great pace of play..never had to wait. 2 more twosome behind us so pace worked well. Some tough par 5's, but overall a beautiful course. We will definitely be back. 3 deer joined us on hole 9. That was fun to see! If you want dinner after we recommend Kelly's tap house. We lucked out with a rib special..$27 for a full rack of ribs with potato, coleslaw and beans..we split it and could barely finish it. Staff were very efficient there too. Outdoor music as well.

This course is fun to play, but you definitely don’t walk it if you’re older. I wish there would’ve been a beverage cart out there! It was hot.

So besides the par 3 tee boxes everything was perfect. I love golfing in Red Wing. You get less traffic than the cities so better course conditions. And you golf in the bluffs and it’s breathtaking!!! Picture is hole 9 the flag is 15ft tall so you can see it from the tee box. Great hole.

Course was nice. Busy holiday weekend and groups of 5-6 were allowed which severely slowed play down. Took an hour for first three holes. Waited at every hole on all 18 and were frequently 2-3 groups waiting at tee boxes. We expected it to be a busy holiday Saturday as weather was beautiful. We didn't expect the round to last 5.5 hours for 18. We teed it forward to speed it up but so.e other groups should have as well!
