Challenging & Fun Course
The course was well maintained and the staff was very friendly.
Hidden Gem
This has to be ONE OF BEST VAULES IN THE USA! The course quality is similar to a private club but it has. municipal prices. The greens are large with lots of slope and they are in great shape. This is a MUST play course if you are in mid-Missouri. Very challenging par threes where you must hit over water.
You can tell they care
I drive 35+ miles to play this course and I'm never disappointed. The fairways and greens are always in great shape. There's a starter and folks that keep an eye on the course and players. My only real complaint is the lack of sand in the bunkers. I know it's Missouri, but it would be nice to play out of some nice, fluffy sand rather than pea gravel, or whatever that stuff is.
Best Central MO Public Access Course
I've always loved the layout of Tanglewood. It's had it's ups and downs over the years but it seems to be in good hands now. The course is the draw. There's a good range and a decent clubhouse and snack bar. A great walking course!
Great conditions
Playing golf in Missouri in mid-December?? Yes! Beautiful weather and playing a wonderful course. Couldn’t have had a better time!
great course
wonderful layout for this course. No ridiculous holes..
Good Course
Tanglewood is a good golf course and one of my favorites to play in the area. The greens are always good to great condition. - today greens were good. Fairways are always well kept, tee boxes are always in good conditions. The grass surrounding the greens are way too thick, and it always that way. You better take a couple practice swing before chipping or pitching out of the thick stuff. The par threes are the most challenging part of the course and my least favorite all but one has water hazards and two of them you have to carry the water to get the greens. Otherwise, this is a very playable course.
Curious why a consistently highly rated course recieves only 2 stars without any comments justifing the low rating.
