About
Sugar Creek Golf Course offers some of the best scenery of any course in the St. Louis area. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside from the course's elevated tees. The course opened in 1990 with several improvements made in the following years. The layout is a manageable length at just under 6,100 yards. It is player-friendly enough for beginners to approach with confidence but there are also challenges in store for more advanced players. Water only comes into play on one hole but there are stands of trees lining the narrow fairways. The golf course will generously reward accuracy and good strategy though it is not overly punishing if you are slightly errant. In addition to the course, Sugar Creek G.C. also boasts an expansive practice range with 35 hitting stations.

Sugar Creek Golf Course
This is my favorite course to play around my current living location. The staff members are very respectful and are well trained. This is a very big course with fun different type of par hole lay outs. This course is not flat as it has ridges you tee off from. It personally doesnt bother me, but for others there are some cart paths that are gravel and have pot holes in some different locations throughout the course, but they are working on new pavement to put down. That would be my only complaint about the course. Some tee boxes are a little patchy, but thats all golf courses especially with the summer sun. The greens are cut at a perfect hight and are sprinkled very often with the system. Greens are not slow. Good concession area inside the club house to get on the turn for the back 9. Landscaping is pretty to look at as well.
Not worth the money
The greens were nice and so was the layout but fairways lacked the benefits if hitting it there. Patchy grass and not cut well. Looked like I was hitting from a yard and not a fairway.

Great Greens
The greens were in good shape, fairways need improvement but seems like later in the year would be much better. I look forward to playing here again and would recommend the course.

Variety of holes to play
There’s narrow fairways on some, wide open on others. Cool drop off holes and even a mountain climb of a par 3. Overall very nice layout and easy to play.

In rough shape
The course is in pretty bad shape right now. The greens are the only good thing right now, they are in very good shape so credit where it is due, but the tee boxes and bad and the fairways are even worse. I like this course layout but will be hesitant to return.

Great course and a bargain.
No this is not some PGA course. For the price and the course you will definitely get your moneys worth. Forgivable par fours if you can hit a 320 drive but enough difficulty to be rewarding and painful. Definitely recommend this course staff very friendly pace of play is good.

nice layout
This course condition has improved a lot since I played here last time, the greens are in really good shape, fairways are in much better shape also. Looks like they're putting some money into it, glad to see it.

Comeback
I came out to this course a few years back and was very disappointed in how it looked. Lots of dead greens, and dead spots in the fairway. Gave it another chance last year and the turnaround is night and day. Greens are in excellent shape, the fairways are growing and even this early in the season everything was in good playing condition. Great value here, give them a look.

Great Layout and really nice greens
The course is a great value and has a fun layout, a lot of elevation changes. The greens were rolling for early March, definitely worth getting out to. Friendly clubhouse with cold beers
