Sugar Creek Golf Course
About
Sugar Creek Golf Course offers some of the best scenery of any course in the St. Louis area. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside from the course's elevated tees. The course opened in 1990 with several improvements made in the following years. The layout is a manageable length at just under 6,100 yards. It is player-friendly enough for beginners to approach with confidence but there are also challenges in store for more advanced players. Water only comes into play on one hole but there are stands of trees lining the narrow fairways. The golf course will generously reward accuracy and good strategy though it is not overly punishing if you are slightly errant. In addition to the course, Sugar Creek G.C. also boasts an expansive practice range with 35 hitting stations.

Best Gem around
This course is awesome and the staff are fantastic. I recent hosted a fundraiser event here and I could not have asked for a better experience. This is a great course to play and needs to be at the top of your list when looking for a great place to play and spend the day!
Awesome!
One of the nicer courses in Jefferson county for sure, greens were nice, fairways were nice, overall a nice place and a good time! I will be back!
Cow pasture
Showed up expecting a half way decent round of golf for the rate being $45, but instead showed up to tee boxes where it was hard to tell where the fairways ended and the rough started. Long fairways and unkempt clover filled rough made it hard to be rewarded for hitting a good tee shot and made producing a good ball strike in the rough to be nearly impossible. Had to dig my club head through clover patch’s to find my ball numerous times. Pace of play was also horrendous with multiple groups of beginners getting sent out in a row and as well as tee times being grouped too closely together in an attempt to maximize profit, with the worst being 2 other groups on the tee behind us waiting while we wait on the group in front to finish each hole. Greens were the best thing here and rolled true but were pretty slow. Overall I do not recommend this course until the figure out their mower settings for the fairways.
Terrific Greens, Fairways/Rough needs alot of work
I played here once before and the conditions were terrible then. I thought to try and see if any improvements have been made. The only thing improved were the greens. They were really nice ! Rolling true with Medium to Slow speed. However, the rest of the course conditions need alot of work. On few holes, there was no difference between the rough and the fairway. Even on holes where the fairway could be recognized, the grass was thick and uneven and needs to be cut. Hopefully, this can be done soon. I am not sure if I would come back and play again.
Improvements keep coming
Pleasantly surprised . The improvements are nice to see. Fun track.
Budget friendly
The fairways were rough. Tee boxes were rough. Greens were nice but very very slow. Small practice green to warm up. No chipping or pitching practice green. Range is nice.clubhouse was nice and staff was very friendly.
We love this Course.
The owner Mr. Webbe and his staff made us feel like we belonged there.
We have had our event there the last three years. We will continue for three more.
Their catering for our event was excellent . Fit what we were looking for and we did not feel like they ever took advantage of us in anyway.
Prices were fair. We did not feel like they took advantage of us in anyway.
Thank you from our K of C members.. see you again soon..
Beautiful course and clean bathrooms
The course is beautiful and well kept! However, my favorite part of this course is how welcoming they are to women golfers. The women’s restroom is clean, which I know seems like a standard every golf course should have, but that’s not the world we live in. It’s always clean, smells good and not used a storage. Recommend everyone check out the course.
Getting better but not quite there
Since going under new management a few years ago, I have made it a point to play this curse once per year. Outside of a few holes, I like the layout. Narrow fairways lined with trees and some dramatic elevation changes make this course both interesting and challenging. Greens were notably slow and pin placements seemed to be regularly in on very slopes parts of the green.
Work in progress. Props for that. A little tricked up but fun if it moves. Hope to try again when they make more progress.
Work In Progress
They’re working on the course. The front 9 is in pretty rough shape but the back 9 is wildly better.
It’s always a fun course but you can tell they’re putting the work in to make this place great.
Very friendly staff and good course
I've played a Sugar Creek quite a few times and the staff is always very friendly and professional. The course was in green condition, especially the fairways. It's great course for a great price!
Great course, doing a lot of updates to the course!
Great course, it keeps you on your toes, with different elevations and configurations!!
Sugar is getting its Sugar Back
Pace of play was great! The greens are in great shape and I’m looking forward to see what the summer brings!!! Good all around course!
Much improved
This place has really improved since I played a few years ago. A nice variety of layouts, excellent condition, new golf carts, and friendly staff. Pace of play was great. Added to my favorites list.
