About
Sugar Creek Golf Course offers some of the best scenery of any course in the St. Louis area. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside from the course's elevated tees. The course opened in 1990 with several improvements made in the following years. The layout is a manageable length at just under 6,100 yards. It is player-friendly enough for beginners to approach with confidence but there are also challenges in store for more advanced players. Water only comes into play on one hole but there are stands of trees lining the narrow fairways. The golf course will generously reward accuracy and good strategy though it is not overly punishing if you are slightly errant. In addition to the course, Sugar Creek G.C. also boasts an expansive practice range with 35 hitting stations.

Sugar Creek - Excellent Course
My buddy and I have been going to this course for a couple months and we enjoy so much that when we play with friends we say we have “Home Field Advantage.” We’ve met many staff members who have been welcoming and given us deals for coming so much. The course is very scenic in my opinion which is my main reason for having a liking towards it. This is definitely a course I am going to keep playing at because of the variety it has with the way the different holes are.
Great Course
The owners have done a fantastic job bringing this course back to life and is now one of the best in the St. Louis area. Greens and fairways are in great shape and they are actively redoing the cart paths. For the price you can’t beat it.

Better than expected
A few years ago this course had been allowed to run down, so I quit going. It’s probably been 7-8 years.
I had the opportunity to play recently (Sept 2023) and was impressed with the course conditions. The layout hasn’t changed and the back nine was narrower than I remember. All in all, a good value and I won’t wait so long to play there again!

Sugar Creek on the Rise
Played this course for the first time in 2 years and it’s noticeable how hard the staff has worked on making improvements. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens are in much better condition and well maintained. While there are still places on the cart path that need attended to, it’s obvious cart path improvement has been a focus. Most importantly, the owner himself was mowing a fairway and stopped to talk to my playing partner and I to go out of his way to thank us for our support and business. You could tell he is a nice person who is dedicated to improving the course and he acknowledged there is still work to be done. He encouraged me to write an honest review while giving me his personal card to contact him directly the next time I want to play here. Customer service like this goes a long way. I’ll definitely keep Sugar Creek in my regular rotation of places I’m proud to play.

Great views and good grass
Definitely not a beginner course, have only played pheasant run before and it was quite a step up. Besides that the course is well maintained and has some great views. A lot of elevation and narrow fairways but overall really beautiful course. Got pretty backed up, tee time was 3:40, got to 18 at around 8:15 as a two man. I shot 36 over, buddy shot 19 over.

Spectacular course
This was one of the most fun courses I have played all year. The greens were immaculate. The fairways were freshly cut and played amazing. The course layout is challenging but there are some very scenic holes that are just fun to play. The practice greens and driving range were in great shape (unfortunately the range was closed before my tee time)
Mike, inside the pro shop was very friendly and as I had showed up pretty early, he was able to get me out early, and I had no one in front or behind me. I was able to get a round done in a little over 3 hours. I will for sure be coming back and playing this course on a pretty regular basis at this point.
10/10 would recommend this course to anyone to play.

Worth the ride!
This is one of my favorite courses in the area just because there are holes that go in just about every direction. If you haven't been for a few years, the course has slowly been undergoing upgrades with the new ownership and it shows. Greens and fairways were in solid condition, some of the old cart paths that had been gravel have been replaced with nice pavement. Staff has always been friendly every time I go. Absolutely worth the ride!

Highly recommend
Course is spread out so it’s not fairway on top of fairway. Staff are amazing and nice. Kept on good condition. Definitely worth it for the price
