Sugar Creek Golf Course

About
Sugar Creek Golf Course offers some of the best scenery of any course in the St. Louis area. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside from the course's elevated tees. The course opened in 1990 with several improvements made in the following years. The layout is a manageable length at just under 6,100 yards. It is player-friendly enough for beginners to approach with confidence but there are also challenges in store for more advanced players. Water only comes into play on one hole but there are stands of trees lining the narrow fairways. The golf course will generously reward accuracy and good strategy though it is not overly punishing if you are slightly errant. In addition to the course, Sugar Creek G.C. also boasts an expansive practice range with 35 hitting stations.

Nice course
Course is challenging enough due to the layout and changes in elevation on some holes. When the rough is long the course brings a totally different challenge to take into consideration. Still a lot of fun to play
Big Improvement
I used to play this course years ago but it was going downhill. In recent years, ownership had obviously invested a lot of money for improvements. It’s a beautiful course lay out . Greens and fairways were in good shape.
My only criticism is the cart paths are very rough and need to be re-paved.
Updated course
The course just keeps on improving every year. Greens are beautiful.
Bounce back
This course has had some major improvements from the last time I played it years ago. Although the greens were not fast, they were in great shape and rolled true and very good price
Great Course
St Raymonds St. Elizabeth had our golf tournament, June 1 at Sugar Creek. The course was outstanding the staff you couldn’t ask for anything better of course was in great shape. We had a little rain play just kept on going. I want to thank Mr. Webbe and his crew for doing an outstanding job and the facility was clean. The cart are great. The whole place was just outstanding. I would recommend this course to anybody again Mr Webbe Thank you again and we will be back again next year. We’ve already booked our tournament date.
Good course, bad planning and course management
Double booked, seems like communication isn’t the best. Marshall definitely messed up the pace of play by letting people play way too soon. It was 4 minutes between each tee time.. miserable day in the heat.
Sugar Creek is tough
Luckily I played with someone that had played the Course before. I might have gotten lost going thru the beautiful community, that this course wraps thru. It was a great experience!
Fairways and greens were in good shape except the greens did play slow. Hope the bunkers are brought back since currently they are unplayable. Couple things on the wish list otherwise a nice course.
Best Gem around
This course is awesome and the staff are fantastic. I recent hosted a fundraiser event here and I could not have asked for a better experience. This is a great course to play and needs to be at the top of your list when looking for a great place to play and spend the day!
Awesome!
One of the nicer courses in Jefferson county for sure, greens were nice, fairways were nice, overall a nice place and a good time! I will be back!
Cow pasture
Showed up expecting a half way decent round of golf for the rate being $45, but instead showed up to tee boxes where it was hard to tell where the fairways ended and the rough started. Long fairways and unkempt clover filled rough made it hard to be rewarded for hitting a good tee shot and made producing a good ball strike in the rough to be nearly impossible. Had to dig my club head through clover patch’s to find my ball numerous times. Pace of play was also horrendous with multiple groups of beginners getting sent out in a row and as well as tee times being grouped too closely together in an attempt to maximize profit, with the worst being 2 other groups on the tee behind us waiting while we wait on the group in front to finish each hole. Greens were the best thing here and rolled true but were pretty slow. Overall I do not recommend this course until the figure out their mower settings for the fairways.
Terrific Greens, Fairways/Rough needs alot of work
I played here once before and the conditions were terrible then. I thought to try and see if any improvements have been made. The only thing improved were the greens. They were really nice ! Rolling true with Medium to Slow speed. However, the rest of the course conditions need alot of work. On few holes, there was no difference between the rough and the fairway. Even on holes where the fairway could be recognized, the grass was thick and uneven and needs to be cut. Hopefully, this can be done soon. I am not sure if I would come back and play again.
Improvements keep coming
Pleasantly surprised . The improvements are nice to see. Fun track.
Budget friendly
The fairways were rough. Tee boxes were rough. Greens were nice but very very slow. Small practice green to warm up. No chipping or pitching practice green. Range is nice.clubhouse was nice and staff was very friendly.
We love this Course.
The owner Mr. Webbe and his staff made us feel like we belonged there.
We have had our event there the last three years. We will continue for three more.
Their catering for our event was excellent . Fit what we were looking for and we did not feel like they ever took advantage of us in anyway.
Prices were fair. We did not feel like they took advantage of us in anyway.
Thank you from our K of C members.. see you again soon..
