Innsbrook Resort Golf Course & Clubhouse
About
Although it is located just west of St. Louis, Innsbrook Resort feels much more secluded with its sprawling landscape of rolling hills covered with towering trees and more than 100 lakes. The golf course's scenic and carefully preserved landscape has even been certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Carved from the hillsides, the course offers dramatic elevation changes as well as scenic views of the surrounding countryside. Trees line the fairways and there are tricky, uneven lies throughout. Both accuracy and proper club selection will be required. Of the many lakes on the resort's 8,000 acres, 12 come into play on the golf course along with 30 strategically placed bunkers. The course offers a fair amount of challenge but beginners won't feel as though they are out of their league.

fun course for all players
course is made for everyone to play very challenging super friendly
nice layout, interesting design in a resort home setting, good condition..
Nice course, hilly and with good views in a resort setting. Lots of dogleg holes, but not a lot of punishment if you keep it in the fairway. Mid-winter conditions but looked to be well-maintained. It was a fun day..
February Golf
Course is always in good condition but this is golf in February. I don't expect much as far as maintenance but the greens seemed to roll fairly true but slow (as expected).
My favorite public course in St. Louis!
I attended Washington High School and every year our conference tournament was at Innsbrook. That was the tournament that I looked forward to the most. I'm a player who fades the ball off of the tee and Innsbrook suits my eye better than any other course that I have played. From the tips it plays around 6500 yards, so not too long or too short. I believe they have at least 4 other tee boxes so beginners as well as scratches can enjoy.
Innsbrook is a great challenge for any skill level of golfer. I am about an 8 handicap and from the tips I find it very challenging. The front side is definitely the side where you need to take advantage. There are two birdie-able par 5s as well as the shorter par 4s. The back side is definitely more challenging. The par 4s and 5s are all longer and tighter, while the par 3s don't give much leeway either. Generally the greens are soft and receptive to any kind of approach.
One issue that some might have about the course is that there is quite a bit of water, seeing as it was built around multiple lakes. If my tally is correct, 7 of the 18 holes have water that are very easy to hit into. One issue that most people might have is that it is 30-45 minute drive away from St. Louis. However, for the price and quality of play, it is worth it to me.
All in all, Innsbrook is a well-maintained, challenging resort course that is very reasonably priced. However, some golfers might find the layout and design a little too challenging.
Great winter golf
Great place to play during the winter months, 21 bucks for 18 holes in 3 hours.
course has good features for the average golfer. Several blind holes make it more challenging for the first time visitor.
pace on the course was awkward at times. our twosone was paired up with another twosome j(which is fine), however we were often out paced by seemingly constant flow of threesomes. we let them play through if the hole ahead was open, making play at a steady pace difficult on both the front and back nine. It may have worked better if the twosomes would have been placed on the course to play at the threesome pace.
This course was maintained very well.
This course was maintained very well.
Even though it was a winter season, the fairway and green had a good condition.
Scenic
One of my favorite courses. Always in great shape, always a good value.
Great Course
Definitely was feeling great about my golf game before coming to this course. It is very challenging as there is not a lot of forgiveness off the tee. The greens are also very fast which always makes the short game more interesting. It is well worth it, though, and is one of the nicest courses I have played in Missouri. I would highly recommend t his course to anyone.
Nice getaway from St. Louis enjoyed the rural setting and course provides challenge but is enjoyable to play.
Course was an excellent value for $26. Pace of play was good 4 hours for 18 holes. Staff was friendly and I felt welcomed at this resort course. Scenery was beautiful with fall colors and lakes etc. Greens rolled at nice pace. Overall a very enjoyable.day.
Several very scenic holes.
Good mix of fairly difficult holes and holes with average difficulty. A few water hazards in locations that require a pretty good shot or pay the price.
Value
Course offers good value when discounts are available. Location is a bit of a drive, dictating need to offer values for western St. Louis residents to utilize the course.
Great features, well manicured greens, peaceful view
This is one of my favorite courses to play golf. The entire course is maintained well, there are plenty of challenging holes, and the view is just marvelous. It's a long course nestled with plenty of landscaped trees, rolling hills and valleys which makes a great backdrop while playing. The course offers fun for the novice golfer as well as the long ball hitters and has several elevated tee boxes, and dogleg fairways that makes this course exciting and refreshing. The staff is extremely friendly.
Great course, in great shape
I love playing this course. It is always in really good shape and is very challenging without being brutal. A bad shot will make you pay. zoysia fairways let the ball sit up nicely. All of the holes are interesting and make you use all the clubs. The greens are in great shape.
Golf now usually makes it very affordable.
Downside is that it is a fairly long drive from civilization
Nice and challenging
Fairways are in great shape along wiith the greens. A bit of a drive from St. Louis, but it wouldnt stop me from going. Great cousre
This course is well maintained.
Very nice course, plenty of challenge, and flows very nicely.
Great Setting
Innsbrook is a fantastic course. Although I can't seem to avoid penalty strokes, it is very challenging. Play from white tees, use 3 wood off the tee a lot just to keep the ball in play. The course is zoysia and fairways in perfect condition. Greens get a little beat up, but they are big and usually in great condition. Most tee boxes are great, some need a little attention at the end of summer. In the fall when the leaves start to turn it is a fantastic setting, you might even see some deer and baby doe hanging around. If you get the golf now hot deal this is one of the great value courses. Although it is a fair drive out there, it is worth it. You know how some courses have a lot of bare spots? Well this course is fun to play the ball as it lies, no improvement whatsoever, which should tell you the kind of shape the course is usually in.
