great price
Was very satisfied with course conditions.A little soggy in some spots due to previous heavy rain.Greens in very good shape compared to other courses.
Bang for my buck
The price was right pay 23 bucks for my round and there was no one on the course besides my foursome. It was like we had it to ourselves. Course was a little wet but it's still early in the season. Was told they had a girl serving beverages on the course but we never saw her. Also if you are looking to food at the turn the clubhouse doesn't come into play until you get done playing 18 holes which was a bummer an wish I would have know that being my first time there. But golf was good so I still had a good time looking forward to playing it again when the conditions are a little better as well.
Next door to shotgun range
Very windy day with little sunshine brought temperatures so low it was impossible to get warmed up. Posted temp around 50 felt like 30s. The course was wet, greens still showing the effects of fall plugging, fairways decent, some bare spots. A tougher course played very hard with the weather. Hopefully spring will arrive and the course will grow back soon. The constant firing of 12 gauges didn't help the afternoon.
Challenging course
Course is very narrow and lots of trees hugging the fairways, one of the best courses you can play for the money.
Marsh Oaks can be very challenging for all level of players
the course was in great shapefor the time of year we played staffwas very professional had a great time food in clubhouse was excellent all around good time
Good course for the money
Not particularly difficult, but a pleasant place to play a round of golf
Great course for a quick 18 holes!
I had a nice time with well maintined fairways and greens. I got out early and finished in a little over three hours.
Got a great hot deal at a great course
played the Old Oaks course, and came away impressed, fun layout, great conditions, all around good experience. The only thing I didn't understand is why the courses regular rates charge so much more for the Marh Oaks course?? the back 9 of the Old Oaks course is weaved in between some of the holes on the Marsh Oaks course and nothing jumped out at me as to why they charge so much more to play Marsh Oaks??
course was slow and not very good shape
real slow play no ranger to move people along golfers in front thought the were pros four holes were open ahead of them. wouldnt no one play through. Dont waste your time playing there unless you have 6 hours of free time
Great course
Great course, well maintained. Greens and fairways are one of the best i have seen around here. The only thing i didn't like was very slow play, but maybe it was just that time of the day.
Oak Ridge is a good course with a challenging Marsh Oaks
Oak Ridge is a good course. Easy play for and up & down game. For the challenge play Marsh Oaks. Lots of blind shots. Where knowing club distance is important.
this course was unique
The course was set up to be a little challenging but not enough that you needed to be a scratch golfer to have a good time. It was tough on some holes because you could not see the green you needed to go for and the fairway was a bit on the small side. I still feel this is a great course and plan on golfing here again.
this course was unique
this course played very tight not much space to have an off shot. sometimes you could not even see where the green was and tight shots needed to be made to the fairway. I really liked this course as it was difficult but you dont need to be a scratch golfer to have a great time. Would golf hear again for the price.
easy layout lots of hidden water
Keep near fairway easy course spray it your in trouble
Overall a nice course, nice greens
Been a couple years since I played Old Oaks....usually play the Marsh, which is probably a better value if you can find a good deal. Greens were in great shape, several of the tee boxes were in need of attention, however.
The only negative for me today had nothing to do with the golf course. I was first off the tee and saw just a foursome 20 minutes later on the tee sheet, was looking forward to an enjoyable round of golf and watching the sunrise.....ruined by single walk ons behind me playing speed golf. Just a pet peeve, why even come out and play if you act like you would rather be somewhere else?? Golf is to be savored, not rushed through.
Nice Course, liked it in general and been going back
Like the course, great fun, been going back to play at times, trying to get out on more courses to see how they are.
Might be going on Friday and try course again and see what I think.
Average course w/ slow play on the weekend.
During check in for the tee time we were paired with another Golf Now twosome and it was revealed that they booked the same tee time for $26 less than our fee. This is concerning in terms of the integrity of the site.
Good value.
Fairly wide open, but don't go messing with the trees or traps. Lots of 40' pines; some OB; traps; a bit of water; but plenty of room to roam. Greens are in great shape and held the short irons well.
Cart paths need repair.
Old Oaks
Fairways and greens on the Old Oaks course are in excellent condition. After recent heavy rains, a few spots of casual water, but they should dry up quickly.
always good shape
played here many times always in good shape .greens a little slow but true .
