Conditions rough
Tees were all off. Seniors were right with ladies. Tees were in bad shape. Low lying water built up everywhere. Stagnant and stinky. Damaged fairways not repaired and mud everywhere. Greens were okay shape. Rangers need to keep people from parking carts next to the green ( like 3 ft from the green) and have people use the cart paths
Terrible
Worst condition I’ve ever seen for a course. Unfriendly staff and not worth the price. Will never go back.
Somewhat Disappointed
We played on a foggy morning after a big rainfall the night before. The course was in bad shape, but even if it was dryer, I feel that $44.00 each was not worth it. The tee boxes, fairways and greens need attention. I hope some upgrades are in this course's future.
Course has gone downhill
Course conditions were terrible. Fuzzy greens, burnt greens/fairways, ground under repair everywhere. This course was in great shape the last time I played it but now it’s terrible. Very disappointed. Golf cart was on its last legs and would barely drive as well.
My Son and I
Had a very good day of golf with my son. I have played here before and that’s one reason we came back. Fast pace of play. Condition of course is good. Would recommend this to anyone
Course has been neglected
This course was appalling.
From the first tee box to the 18th round thing at the end. Horrible.
Every tee box is trash. No footing to be had, no place to put the ball down. Not one was in average shape.
Fairways are just died up clumpy spots of clover with crabgrass patches.
No fringes on greens, just uncut grass.
Reficulousl waste oof money if you pay more than $5.00.
Even the beer cart girls avoided the course. Saw them a couple times, but they were in a hurry to get to the clubhouse.
This course is atrocious, seriously. Do not go here.
I am very lenient, but not with this garbage.
A full refund should be offered before you get a cart.
Not nice
The fairways were full of water, the tee box’s were barely cut an some were just dirt. The greens were ok
Tee boxes are dirt!
This place is mostly good for the value, if you get a reduced price. I would not pay full price. Most of the tee boxes are in terrible shape (old oaks), some even under construction but still being used. The fairways are nice, with occasional dead spots and more dirt. The greens are mostly in good shape, occasional brown spots but otherwise really smooth.
Jabdilla review
Course is in good condition except for the cart path
I had first tee time of the day which means the greens we’re not cut and were quite wet
Oh well
Getting Better
Tee boxes haven't been mowed in a few weeks. Stick the tee in the ground and it looks like the ball is sitting right on the grass. The staff is great and pace of play was finally very good. We played 18 holes in 3 hours!
Marsh Oaks is the premium course? NOPE!!!
The Marsh Oaks course is (was) the "premium" course at Oak Ridge? Well not anymore!!!
Tee boxes were either burnt-out & rock-hard or not cut & patchy.
Fairways had a lot of ground that should have been "under repair" but was really just wet / overgrown. Cart tracks all over the place (that's on the golfers though).
Greens were super long, slow and it appears nobody knows how to fix a pitch mark (again, mostly on the golfers).
....oh, and it was $8 for their "large" range bucket at the size of most courses very small bucket. Half the balls weren't even "hitable".
In all fairness, the bar staff was quite friendly & beverages were reasonably priced.
To sum up, it appears the course has been treated like a farm during the pandemic and needs a lot of TLC before I'll play there again....
Getting a little better
Better shape now than earlier in the season. However, the tee boxes and some of the fairways are about 2 weeks behind in being mowed.
