What a joke
Do not waste your time. I do not leave reviews but this course was so bad I had to. It’s. Complete joke and shouldn’t be on GolfNow.
Terrible management
Or group was rained out before we could start our round.
IN LIEU OF REFUNDS…We were issued rain checks which are GOOD FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON,!!
ITS MID OCTOBER. !! Season is over…
Doubt we will ever play again.
Slow play should be out lawed
slow play plus very wet conditions make for an unenjoyable round of golf.
Don't waste your time or money
This is a sorry excuse for a golf course. I booked this as a HotDeal 4days previously on GolfNow, because the weather was supposed to be good. Well, Michigan weather being what it is, it rained all the previous night and golf day. I called to see if they were closing the course because of continued heavy rain and thunderstorms. They told me they weren't, therefore I couldn't get a refund from GolfNow. We went to the course anyway, and they told us no rainchecks or refunds. We played since it was paid for. It was solid rain the entire time. The fairways were just mush. Some of the greens had areas with inches of water on them, and some teeboxes were ankle deep. We went in at the turn to get some dogs, and the waitress/bartender (who had no customers) was rude. On the 10th hole it started raining buckets, so we decided to call it and go in. I went into the pro shop to speak about getting a raincheck or something. We were soaked to the bone. This totally arrogant old "manager" told us NO RAINCHECKS NO REFUNDS, and the rain is letting up. Yeah, from torrential downpour to just plain heavy rain. I will never ever play this course again, and I will make sure that I tell everyone what a bunch of jerks they are there. The only good thing is that they are right next to a prison, so they got that going for them.
Sad to see the decline of this place
The course has definitely been in decline the past few years from neglect but played here this morning and was absolutely shocked how bad it has become. $45 tee time is absolutely absurd for the conditions. Sure hope owner sells and someone who has the resources buys it... Very sad to see this gem in such disarray
Been a few years since I’ve played here…should’ve keep that streak going
$60 for this course is absurd. I understand that we’ve had a lot of rain lately so some wet areas and standing water were expected. That aside, it looks like they haven’t fired up the mowers there since mid August, or moved the tee markers. Which gives you 2 options on every box, tee it up in the mud cause the area between the markers is so worn down that there is no grass, or tee it up in the rough cause the rest of the box is about 3 1/2” long. Not hard to tell the pin placement hasn’t changed lately either. Clearly the management doesn’t care about their course.
I hope this saves others from making a $60 mistake
Carts were in terrible shape, and tee boxes were destroyed.
Slow!!!
Second Saturday in a row that I’ve played this course. Last week took 5.5 hours this week was 6.5h!! I like the discounted rates but they are clearly overbooking tee times. Sitting and waiting to tee off each hole gets really old around hole three. There’ not enough beer to tolerate this kind of wait.
Great Course for the money
I played Marsh Oaks which has a good mix of challenging and open holes. There were a couple fairways that had taken water damage now had some dried out patches. Over all the course was in good shape and I got an on-line deal for $28 to play it. The pace happened to be slow that day because there was an outing there but normally the pace of play is average.
Busy
Very busy today. Course was slow, over 5h for 18 holes. Staff was very apologetic though. Still recommend, other times have not been as slow as today.
Never again
Never againI will never go here again as they try to charge me an extra $10 on top of my greens fees Because I have medical issues and did not want to be paired up with a stranger on a golf cart. I am very grateful for golf now to refund my hot deal. However this will be the last time I play this course if I’m the one paying for it.
