good shape. had fun.
great pace of play. the hurricane took down trees, some of which were part of the course challenge. Great clean up was done.
Nice Course but needs Rangers
Teed-off right on time on the King 9. Our group followed a group of 4 young men. It was only after a few holes that the group in front of us had begun to lag far behind the groups in front of them. Although I enjoyed the course, and the course conditions, we waited on every hole for the group in front of us both the tee-off and for our second shots, even our third shots on a par 5. I find that unacceptable when considering the course was wide open in front of them and no rangers on the course to move them along. At one point a twosome behind us hit into us in frustration, then drove past us and complained that the course was too slow and proceeded to pass the group in front of us then continue their round. Cape Royal you can do better.
Cape Royal
The course is fine if you are looking to get out and play a round. Typical Florida public track course. Friendly staff. Pace of play started off ok but we saw no ranger to keep it moving on the second nine holes.
Hidden water
Everyone was friendly expect the guy in the pro shop. This course has three nine hole course. Pace of play was good for the a twosome in under 3 hours and 40 minutes. The course has a lot of hidden water that comes into play on many of the holes. Great practice facility. Would love to play again.
Faster greens than nearby Cape Coral public courses
The green speed was faster than other Cape Coral courses: P-P CC, Ft M CC, BSM, C -Oaks. Greens ran true. Because I wasn't use to the speed and because of undulations, I often 3 -putted!
The course has been terrifically cleaned up after the hurricane. They lost a lot of trees, some of which had been part of the fairway obstacles. Wonderful social atmosphere there.
Surprised
I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the condition of the course. Although there were a few greens that had blotches of grass, the overall experience was good. Lots of water, sand traps were white, fluffy, and well kept.
Put this one on your list to play.
Average Maybe
Better than a year ago but still not as good as some for same price. Greens were pretty good, Fairways could be nicer. Decent layout with a pretty good challenge. Lots of water that comes into play if you push or pull a little. For the price, just an ok value for the time of year. Play here when I can't find the better courses available.
