Good value, excellent staff
First time playing this course. Played the Prince (9 holes only). Course conditions were good but staff was excellent. Starter (from Brockton, Mass) was outstanding. Friendly, helpful. On course marshal was also friendly and encouraging. Both attitudes enhanced the experience. Only improvement is to add Drop Zone indicator signs on tee box at both par 3’s over water. Not knowing there were drop zones slowed play down. Would definitely play this course again.
Bring extra balls
The course was one of the most fun I’ve ever played - the layout is great, mostly going through a large neighborhood, with a good mix of hole lengths. Be prepared for a massive number of water hazards on nearly every hole. Many of the par 3’s we played were a tee box, a green, and water all around: bring extra balls. Super fun, 10/10.
conditions
I have to say fairways and greens are in good shape. Sand in traps is heavy.
Lots of water. Bring a few extra balls.
I'll be back.
Cape Royal Rocks
Good course, with a lot of water and sand hazards. Play was good, right at 4 hours for 18 holes. Teamed up with a couple of nice ladies from South Carolina and were a lot of fun.
Tee boxes, fairways in good shape, greens we slick and in pretty good shape, just a little brown. Also had some weeds in a lot of the greens.
Would definitely play this course again....good value for winter prices.
Great Value
Great layout ... good management / pace of play ... 4 hr round. The course is challenging, well marked and Great value.
played 9
Been down with Covid past 2 weeks. Finally felt good enough to play’. Figured 9 would be enough for my girl and me today. Got hooked up with another couple which put my girl at ease. It was a bit chilly out there today but we bundled up and got thru it. Course was in decent shape. Greens were speedy as usual. After the round we decided to go into the grill for a drink quick bite’.
Food was delicious and the drinks were great’. Overall great day at Cape Royal.
Less Expensive, Mediocre Condition
We had a fun time playing this weekend, we played Queen to King for 18 holes. Luckily the course wasn’t closed like it was a few months ago when there was a few inches of rain and they flooded. The greens were just in okay shape, and the fairways were in mediocre shape. I probably won’t be getting back out there anytime soon as it’s a far drive out.
Spectacular
Course was in great shape but my golf game wasn’t!
