Golfer Reviews
Expecting good golf
Well the course was wet, wet. Also lots of bare spots . The only thing I could brag on is speed of greens.
Nice course
At first reading some of the reviews I was a little apprehensive about the course. I can say that the overall condition of the course was good. Some hole had water drainage issues, but was course in Florida doesn't. Fir the rate and overall course condition I enjoyed it. And staff was very helpful and nice.
Rain
Would have loved to finish by it we were rained out for 9 holes. First 9 were great and difficult.
What happened to cutting grass
We lost 4 balls because of it the higher grass. The course should have been shut down because of all the water and the tall grass. The greens were fine. I’ve played this course several times and it has never looked this bad
Mopadre
The course was absolutely in perfect condition. The greens were good and the fairways were good. Some tee boxes were a little less than good. I love the layout but the drainage problem is HUGE. We were almost up to the floorboards with the water on the cart path. It was cart path only, and it was so hot and so humid that it was really a sauna. We quit after nine, and they graciously gave us a 9-hole rain check.
I don't think we'll play again without asking if it's a cart path only day. We lost several balls in standing water. The course was beautiful but access to the course was not.
Horrible
Course was in extremely poor condition, greens were nice but all else was terrible. If you weren’t in the fairway it’s a good chance you lost the ball. Rough was extremely overgrown and under water.. Huge irrigation problem and cart path only. Not a fun day at all.
The course needs to be better maintained. Several tee boxes were in rough shape and the grass is too high just off of the fairways. Far too many weeds around the greens.
Course was soggy in spots and the rough was a bit tall. Thiss was VERY understandable considering how rain we have been getting. Best bet is to stay in the fairway. If you do that, it’s a very plea to place to play.
PS liked the 19th hole a lot
Enjoyable
Played 7/13/21. Overall nice experience, course getting better and better despite being very wet from recent heavy rains. Young man in pro shop friendly, cart guys were excellent. Greens were good, rolled faster than usual. Need to clean up some forced carries… can’t see fairway from back tee on queen 6 or green from back tee on queen 7. Should be really good when summer rains are over.
