the course was in great shape with the greens being fairly fast........ the bunkers were well maintained and except for 1 green they were in good shape....
NICE COURSE
Cape Royal is a challenging course with a lot of water that comes into play. Conditions are fair. Staff was great.
The course is in a housing development. Nice houses but too many.
A little rough
The layout is great and is a fun course tin play. Some of the greens are on rough shape. We were told that there was some kind of disease that has affected them. They are in the process of trying to repair. Some of the t boxes are in terrible shape too. We do love the course and it’s lauoit it’s challenging and fun. We were told that by January all should be repaired!! We will definitely go again.
Relaxing
The course overall is good. The greens are a little rough, quite of few are under repair from fungus, staff was very friendly. Still a good deal for $20 and 9 holes.
Coming along nicely
We played this course last year and it was in good condition. This year it is better. Fairways and greens are in good condition...even quite quick. Tee boxes still need work...bare spots and crab grass. Played King and Prince. All 3 nines have hidden water and you really have to watch your shots to stay out of them. Good challenge once you know where the water is.
Nice layout, 27 holes, worth to play, nice atmosphere
Played Queen and King.
Like the Queen very much because it's tricky
Enjoyed the golf round (15 holes) until a thunder strom came up.
Good price performance ratio, will be back.
Vacationer
Happy with coarse #4 was under construction replacing some of the fairway and #12 also being worked on, this coarse will be very nice soon!
Will play it again next year for sure !
Needs some work
I was shocked to see weeds on tee box, fairways and greens. Bare spots on greens. Not in good shape as they are a few weeks from high season. Played fairly fast, but ran into traffic, so I teamed up with another single to slow down the pace a little. I am going to wait to play there again.
Nice course
My wife and I played Cape Royal Queen and Prince for the first time on Friday. We were paired with 2 gentlemen who had also booked through GolfNow app. We were fairly evenly matched as far as skill level and pace of play.
Course was a little dry - but considering the lack of rain in the area through September it was in good condition. There were only a few areas on fairways or greens that required moving the ball to grass.
Pace of play was good, only a few times did we have to wait for players to clear the fairway and/or greens.
Staff members were very helpful, providing tips on how to play a number of holes to avoid the grunge and/or water hazards.
After the round we had lunch in the grill - excellent menu, good service, reasonable prices, and great food!
Instructions
Played the Queens course and a couple of the holes should come with instructions on where to hit your tee shot.
If you play this course, ask for information about the holes with bridges, it will help a lot.
Best Golf Value Cape Coral
Played six rounds while on vacation in Cape Coral. Three of those were at Cape Royal. We cannot say enough about the staff and facility. Course has been beautifully enhanced and there is just enough trouble to challenge most levels, while not being unmanageable for beginners. Played the Queen and the Prince, but will have to wait until next year’s vacay to play the King (opens in August). At $60 a couple, it is better value than the three other course we played, all within 25 minutes of each other. Did not eat there, so cannot comment on the food. Absolutely recommend and will play again when we’re back in the area.
Well kept
We’re visiting the Cape Coral area and have hit three courses in a week. This is by far the best maintained course that we found. The others were nice layouts, but have been overcome by some type of crabgrass. Cape Royal’s fairways are in excellent condition and their greens are close to immaculate. Bag drop assistants, starter and on course staff are all personable and genuinely want you to enjoy your round. We’ve played it twice and will play again before heading home.
Nice Golf Course
This club has three 9 hole courses so they can have one course closed for maintenance and still offer 18 holes.
The King course is closed currently. The Prince course
just re-opened and is in excellent condition.
After 10 years
10 years ago, I played, i told friends, Never again.....
Today it was very good
Staff very friendly
Mopadre
Fairways are a bit tight, but when the rain starts they should come back from dormancy pretty well.
