Mattawang Golf Club has changed very little since it first opened in 1960. The traditional layout has withstood the test of time as a challenging but playable layout. The course was designed to blend seamlessly into the natural setting while still testing your shot-making skills. You won’t find any man-made water hazards or artificial mounding on this golf course, instead you’ll be challenged by natural streams and ponds and mature evergreens. At first glance, the layout is seemingly wide open, but don’t let your guard down because the fairways are actually quite tight and many of them are strategically lined with trees. In keeping with the time it was built, the greens are smaller than those you would find on most modern golf courses and heavily protected by sand traps. Over the years, Mattawang Golf Club has built a reputation for having some of the well maintained putting surfaces in the area.

Very nice
Very nice course. If I had to criticize something , it would be the bunkers. With as many bunkers surrounding the greens and the pins close, bunkers were too clay not sand.. need more sand. Other than that...see you next time

Excellent but one problem
Great course. Only problem was a lack of sand in the sand traps. That greatly reminisces the quality of the experience and is easily fix. It comes across that you are scrimping on cost. Do the job and raise the greens fees if necessary

In the back of the parking lot are too big loads of sand that came yesterday morning. That is all going into the bunkers, so we were on this task and aware it is an issue. Come back soon and they should be much better, without a increase in Greens Fee! Thanks again
Great condition
Course was in great condition. Great pace of play. Played 18 in a little over 3 hours.

The greens where great and true
The golf carts too dirty and worn out, I was a member there back in the late 70 and I wanted
to show the other guys a great time. They all felt that for money it would be better !!
