Mattawang Golf Club has changed very little since it first opened in 1960. The traditional layout has withstood the test of time as a challenging but playable layout. The course was designed to blend seamlessly into the natural setting while still testing your shot-making skills. You won’t find any man-made water hazards or artificial mounding on this golf course, instead you’ll be challenged by natural streams and ponds and mature evergreens. At first glance, the layout is seemingly wide open, but don’t let your guard down because the fairways are actually quite tight and many of them are strategically lined with trees. In keeping with the time it was built, the greens are smaller than those you would find on most modern golf courses and heavily protected by sand traps. Over the years, Mattawang Golf Club has built a reputation for having some of the well maintained putting surfaces in the area.

course in good shape
enjoyed playing this course. round time was average thru 9 holes. after was very slow ( 4 1/2 hrs total). some challenging holes playing from blue tees. Greens were fast and well kept. Sand was playable. fairways well kept. Staff pleasant.

I definitely recommend this Course
this is a very nice course in really good condition for this time of year. I definitely recommend playing it. The greens are pretty fast. Fairways were excellent and the tea boxes are very good but the best thing about it was the Lady in the pro shop she let me get out early and she was so very friendly. I wish I remember her name but I think she’s there a lot.
Tee boxes, fairways, sand traps and greens are all in great condition with a good layout suitable for all. Only drawback was that some of the areas between holes are a little burnt out due to lack of rains. Played 2 days in a row. First day the pace of play was just under 5 hrs but the second day was much better at 3-1/2 hrs. Well worth the hour drive and I will be back.

Good for the price
Decent course, very affordable. Most fairways are wide open, good for beginners

First time trying this course because I saw it had good reviews. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The course was honestly awesome. They have some nice greens and a cool layout. Would recommend to a friend.

6 Hour Round
Didn’t finish. Got through 15 holes in 4.5 hours. No ranger in sight, pace of play was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Paid way too much for 15 holes.

Here’s excellent
Green condition was excellent, and our team was very satisfied, making it an enjoyable round. However, perhaps because it was Saturday, the pace of play was a bit slow.
