Meadows Golf Club

About
Meadows Golf Club in Lincoln Park offers a casual and enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. For more of a challenge, golfers can try the blue tees while the white and the red tees are more forgiving of errant shots. The course sprawls across mostly flat terrain but there are a few subtly elevated greens to contend with. The layout is situated amidst native wetlands, which come into play on many of the holes. The back nine is more challenging than the front, with the toughest hole being the par-5 13th. At 455 yards, it's not a long hole but there are two large fairway bunkers and an elevated green that is surrounded by even more sand. The best view on the golf course can also be enjoyed from the middle of the green on this hole.

The course was in terrible condition the fairways were dry and cracked in alot of places and the greens had a lot holes and pitch marks that were not fixed
Size of a miniature golf
Rude don't give a crap attitude staffs
Cramped narrow courses
So many flies
The worst
Potential
Meadows has a great layout IMO. Just needs more money put into the course as conditions are clearly subpar. Far from a terrible overall course as many like to say.
There are more bare spots or crabgrass than spots with grass
The fairways have so many bare spots your ball is going to constantly be on top of solid caked dirt if in the fairway. This is because there is no irrigation of the fairways…..
The greens are in decent condition but slow and spongy in spots.
The course is short and only nearly every hole you’ll hear someone yelling fore due to the tight layout.
The pro shop doesn’t offer much and the restaurant bar has 1 cooler with drink and a small tiered baskets of snacks. The men’s room doesn’t have paper towels in one of the dispensers.
Overall value…… ~$75with cart/$54 walking is too much for this course.
Course has gone through some redesign
Course is tight, crossing fairways, greens need work. The course is pretty wet. Used to be less expensive. A little high for this course now.
Horrific conditions
The course is a mess, barely any grass on the fairways and for the price you’re much better off at nearby Sunset or Preakness (either course)
Still Need Work
Only played for it was the only course I could get a morning tee time. For once the pace of play was great. However, the course could be really decent if they actually took pride in its conditions. Aside from the greens the rest of the course is as worse than it's ever been. I could not tell the difference between fairway and rough.
Needs a major upgrade
Fairways are in very poor condition and so are some of the greens. The layout is very narrow- it used to be a 9 hole course and they squeezed in 9 more holes. People yell 4 a lot because it's very easy for the ball to fly over on either side. For the same money, you cab play much better maintained courses.
Course Need Much Work
Played here because it was the earliest tee time I could find. Surprisingly with the low skill level out there the round was just a tad over four hours. However, aside from the conditions of the greens the rest of the course has seen better days.
This could be a decent course if the people running it would actually took some pride in it.
Couldn’t finish the round
Pace was so slow that the sun went down before we could get through 15. Great course and amazing staff, pace management needed from starter.
Awful
The staff was scattered and rude. The Course conditions were awful. The new whole layout is confusing. Overall I recommend avoiding
Only play if you can’t find a tee time
Don’t play here unless you want to sprain your wrist putting your tee in the tee box, hit off dirt fairways (if you can see where the fairways are), or if you like to possibly get hit by a stray golf shot.
