Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis
About
The Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis is an 18-hole, public course located in Little Egg Harbor. George Fazio designed the challenging course, which has a yardage of 6,848 at the longest tees with a par of 72. The course also features tree-lined fairways and greens of bent grass and water hazards that come into play on some holes.
Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis has a particularly tricky 6th hole since there is a pond in the middle of the fairway that you must get past in order to reach the green. The golf course used to be private so it features all the amenities that a private club would have such as a restaurant and pro shop.

Carts in at 7 pm
Everything was fine except for that. Since it is light until 830, I wish we were told that carts had to be in by 7pm before we booked. We had to walk the last two holes and took pull carts. Not bad but had to walk back to ninth tee and then played ten and walk back again to lot. Cost us a half hour extra time. Other than that excellent course.
Good Value for a Muni Course
Local course for me, but I don't play here too often anymore. Use to play (walking) a lot here when I was younger, but need to cart it now so timing of the round is trickier as they don't let you have carts out very late in the day.
Beautiful day weather wise, everyone is my group was pumped up, so we had a lot of fun. Course was lush as it always is early in the summer. Rough was thick, so tough shots if you missed the fairway. Only complaint was the somewhat shaggy greens. A little too long, and quite a bit slow. It rained quite a lot in the past few days, so I'm sure that was a factor as well. I'm used to much faster greens and it was a little frustrating getting your ball to hole. Overall, pace was good, and we had a nice day.
Great that you can book on-line now, and with very reasonable rates! Thanks.
First timer
I'm new to golf and this was my first time playing at Atlantis. Great course and value. Highly recommended!
$24 for the slowest round of my life
I guess people in NJ don't understand golf. I played on Memorial Day and was happy to get a tee time. However it was the slowest round of 9 holes in my life. Took me 2.5 hours to play by myself because the foursome infront of me did not understand that you wave the players through that wait on you the entire day. It was nonsense. Not to mention I drove my ball up by them and the mans wife ran back to pick it up. Unbelievable.
The staff charged me $7 for my GF to ride along with me. Never have I ever heard of that before. I have golfed in Myrtle Beach, the golf Capitol of the U.S. and they never did this to me. The tee boxes were not maintained at all. The grass was nearly as thick as the rough. There "19th" tee wasn't even open for a 10:10 tee time. Who does that?
Great Golf! Great value.
Need lengthy drive to get home on #3,7,9,14 and 17! The wind kept the pollen up and bugs down.Questionable yardages. Great golf! Great value!
Sloooowwww Greens
Nice track with some unique design characteristics. The greens were something out of the 70's....like a nicely groomed shag carpet. It's hard to adjust to greens that roll maybe a 5 or a 6 on the stimpmeter when every other public course out there rolls much quicker. They've got plenty of grass on those greens, just cut them down and speed em up a little. Also, the rough is a little too high for this type of course. Tough to find balls and for high handicappers it must be impossible to actually hit out of that rough.
Now on a sidenote, to the lovely couple I played with.....and I hope you get a chance to read this. Please , nice lady, tee up your ball in the fairway and avoid the tee boxes. If your drive goes no more than 100 yards on a good shot, then the max distance for YOUR par 4 should be about 200 yards. If you can't reach in regulation with two of your best shots then it's not a par 4...it's a par 6 or 7. I play with my girl once a week (she shoots mid 90s and drives it about 160 yards) and tee her up in the fairway whenever the distance of the teebox exceeds her ability to get on in regulation. Please take this advice and you may get a lot more enjoyment out of the game.
Great time
The course was in excellent condition for the beginning of the season. Staff ensured that the pace was kept reasonably moving. The only negative was that Mr HotDog was not open at the turn to the back nine. I guess I'll have to wait till next time to get a little snack before the back nine...and there will defiantly be a next time!!!
Great staff !!!!!
Great staff members. Friendly. Beautiful course and very well kept !!!!
Great layout.
Would love to see the County invest some money in this golf course. It could be one of the best public access courses in South Jersey.
Wow in Ocean County
1st time at this golf course and we really loved it. The fairways were beautiful. Not a single weed. Fairways are wide. Elevation changes. Water on a few holes. Greens were in great shape but very slow. Greens had great undulations, levels, dips. Fringe was good! This course was shockingly good I wish them all the best! Congrats to the staff. We will play again!!!!
Slow Bumpy Greens
Overall the course was in Good shape. I haven't played there in at least 5 years, but always liked the layout. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape, but the greens were very slow and a little bumpy. But for a public course this early in the season was definitely worthwhile and a great value. Being in my sixties the course is getting a little long for me from the white tees at over 6400 yards, but the gold tees are quite a bit shorter at around 5600.
Very long bring driver
great value Challenging course Will be back for sure Greens were slow but its very early in the season The holes play long
South Jersey Hospitality at its Best
My brother and I drove 1-1/2 south to place this course because all of our usual north jersey courses were snowed out. Next time we do this it will because we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Despite coming off a recent snowstorm (and winter) this course was in great shape, but the clincher for us was the friendliness of the staff. From check-in, to the ranger, to a 20 minute post-round chat with one of the staff who was clocking out for the day...this crew understands how to make you feel welcome at their course. Next time we plan to work lunch at the clubhouse grill into our plans...that outdoor patio looks like the place to be once the weather finally turns.
Atlantis
Played a week after it snowed. Naturally the ground was frozen and snow was still in some areas. For the time of year it was good. Pace was quick with no one pushing up on us. Negatives would be that there is no where to clean your shoes or and no water jugs. For under $20 this time of year I could deal with it.
Atlantis Country Club
This is one of the finest golf courses in all of Ocean County. Bring your full set of clubs you will need them all. Great layout and some very challenging holes. I would remind you if you play the private courses in and around south Jersey and Philly you will be challenged. You will need to bring you A game.
Nice Course....Starter was Rude
First time I played this course and I had a really good time. However, the staff in the pro shop were having a difficult time with their computers making everyone else wait. The starter was quite rude but the course was in good shape. A good challenge on a windy day.
Great course
Well keep greens and fairways ,fun golf course to play .
Nice track for the money
This course is an average golf course. Great place to check out well worth the rate at Golf Now. Was very pleased with the layout. Some water, some Dodlegs and a bit longer then most white tees at 6400. Could of had a few more signs for the next tee box, had to search twice. Will stop here again on my way down to A.C. There is really no club house. Would of liked to try the separate restaurant and try some of the craft beers but was on my way back home so decided to pass.
Great course and great value
This course is as good as it gets especially for a county course. Very scenic, plenty of water and bunkers to challenge golfers of any level and there are a number of elevated and undulating greens.
The only downside was the very slow pace of play. They desperately need to have at least one ranger moving players along.
difficult par 3's
golf course was in excellent condition, long and challenging . our foursome played in 4 hrs. on a busy day.
