Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis
About
The Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis is an 18-hole, public course located in Little Egg Harbor. George Fazio designed the challenging course, which has a yardage of 6,848 at the longest tees with a par of 72. The course also features tree-lined fairways and greens of bent grass and water hazards that come into play on some holes.
Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis has a particularly tricky 6th hole since there is a pond in the middle of the fairway that you must get past in order to reach the green. The golf course used to be private so it features all the amenities that a private club would have such as a restaurant and pro shop.

Much Improved
Played this course 2yrs ago, and swore I'd never go back. But after getting good feedback from other golfers I gave it a second chance. Boy am I glad I did while some of the tee boxes need more work the fairways & greens werein great shape. Overall a very good round except for a extremely slow 4some in front of us. Kudos to the Ranger who moved them along.
course good staff not so much
The good, Ladies in the pro shop very nice, course in good shape overall
The bad, Course needs signs very badly, made 2 wrong turns and ended up on wrong tees especially confusing at 10 to 11. No water on course no rangers with water on their carts. The small refreshment shack at the turn was closed when we got the at about 2:30 on a 90 degree day, we went back to the pro shop and they only had bottled water. The staff member at the shop after the round got very surly when I suggested they needed more signs and told us we just couldn't read them.
Not a place I would play again
not what it once was....
The front nine was a "cow pasture" & depressing as
were the sight of the homes along the course. The back nine was in better condition. Overall this course has really deteriorated since I played it in the nineties.
What a shame!!! I saw evidence of nothing being put back into this course"s upkeep or improvement.
Very poorly maintained
Course very poorly kept, grass trimmings dumped into heaps all over tee boxes, alot of trash because there are no garbage cans at most holes. Condition of.greens were very unimpressive. Constantly disrupted by county employee who drives a truck around the course. Multiple holes with kids running around near the fairways. Staff friendliness was the only positive, and it's not too expensive to play.
This course it's no really what I expect
we starting play 15 minutes late because two foursomes that hit the ball every where. The other thing was the people step all around the each hole without of respect to the green and to the other people play behind them.
The ranger don't call the attention to them even when we play faster, don't give to us the opportunity to go ahead so we can finish the 18 holes because the time. Almost 4 hour and we only play 16 hole.
I don't recommend this course to any body. EC
Long course
Course is in decent shape. Greens are slow. Pace of play was a little slow. Price was a good value with Golf Now. Restaurant food was excellent.
poor
overall course was great terrible experience with staff. Ranger cursed me out for not having cart in by 7:15. Man should definitely be fired and unfortunately I will never even think of playing here again
Nice afternoon
This is your average course that's a little long for the ladies. The tee boxes could use some help. If you play here the greens run very slow. The price is right and you should definitely enjoy your round of golf .

An excellent county course. Challenging and a great value.
Atlantis a fair course for a very reasonable price
My group was vacationing on LBI and we wanted to play a nice course nearby. I found Atlantis on Tee Times and booked a foursome for 11:30am. We arrived and everything was ready for us to go. They have an agreement with the Ocean County Vocational School for the school's culinary arts program to help run their restaurant and a hot dog shack which was a nice idea. The course provided a fair challenge for us with many strategically placed sand traps. The red tees gave the lady in our group about a 40 yard advantage on most holes on the front nine, which she definitely appreciated. The course was well kept. The greens seemed a little slow. Although no course can control the weather, we happened on a low 80's day with low humidity. ideal conditions. A sea breeze picked up a little in the later afternoon changing some of the normal distances for us. All in all, we will definitely return and Ocean County golfers can get a break in price if they plan to play often or at their other county-affiliated course - Forge Pond.
Great day of golf
It was a little hot, but overall not too bad with a light breeze. This course has a bad reputation for being buggy, But I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. I put your all the time and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great round of golf at an exceptional value.
The greens are a bit slow, but they do really true.
I like the wide fairways and interesting holesb
17th hole. As a female senior I don't have a shot to play up to the green. Need to go around fenced area and pond.
please read before booking or playing
All Fairways look like the first cut of rough at a normal course with 90% weeds, 75% of the tee boxes were not cut-it felt like you were teeing up in the rough, most greens are dying out or were never cut and very slow and the ball jumps on the green/unrepair ball marks, THIS COURSE IS A WASTE OF MONEY, ESPECIALLY FOR $40
Great course at a great price
Great course well kept just one of the best around the area. Bring the A game not easy by any means. Beautiful Private Country Club like setting. Just a great place to enjoy golf the way it should be played. Loved it
New players to this course beware!
First time playing this Atlantis course and we pulled up, dropped off our bags and parked. Went in to register and was told nothing. The guy just gave us a receipt. We went outside, nobody was around. So we picked a cart and put our bags on. The "starter" then came rushing up to us and yelled at us for not checking with him first. I told him nobody was around and sorry. He then yelled again and said "just go to the first tee". I said this was our first time playing here and apologized again. He then walked away towards the clubhouse and threw his clipboard in disgust. We were not given any instructions....no cart rules...no direction...nothing. You would think after learning we were newbies to the course he would be a little more forgiving and the staff would go out of their way to please us to come back. Nope. Played the round in average time, played fairly well. Signage is very poor and often we were left "guessing" where the next tee was. Nothing really special about this course. The greens were cut a little high so putts often were short and slow. Course should have been maintained a little better. Oh and bring lots of bug spray if you play here. The flies are horrendous. Bottom line is if you are new to this course, you will not be treated well and probably will not have a good time.
Great day of golf.
Great place to play a round of golf. We are only 10 minutes away and play the course several times a year.
Ocean County's County Course
This course has been upgraded in the last 2 years and it appears there is a new greens keeper and the results have been noticed! The course is in the best condition I have seen here by far, fairways and greens are much improved!
Carts in at 7 pm
Everything was fine except for that. Since it is light until 830, I wish we were told that carts had to be in by 7pm before we booked. We had to walk the last two holes and took pull carts. Not bad but had to walk back to ninth tee and then played ten and walk back again to lot. Cost us a half hour extra time. Other than that excellent course.
Good Value for a Muni Course
Local course for me, but I don't play here too often anymore. Use to play (walking) a lot here when I was younger, but need to cart it now so timing of the round is trickier as they don't let you have carts out very late in the day.
Beautiful day weather wise, everyone is my group was pumped up, so we had a lot of fun. Course was lush as it always is early in the summer. Rough was thick, so tough shots if you missed the fairway. Only complaint was the somewhat shaggy greens. A little too long, and quite a bit slow. It rained quite a lot in the past few days, so I'm sure that was a factor as well. I'm used to much faster greens and it was a little frustrating getting your ball to hole. Overall, pace was good, and we had a nice day.
Great that you can book on-line now, and with very reasonable rates! Thanks.
