About
Former president of the PGA of America, Leo Fraser, designed the 18-hole public course at the Mays Landing Golf Club with both advanced and beginning golfers in mind. Touted as the "best birdie for the buck," the Mays Landing golf course provides a great value for all golfers. The course was meticulously designed over 175 acres of beautiful pineland with scenic tree-lined fairways.
Mays Landing Golf Club provides an experience similar to one at a private country club with its excellent service and amenities including a pro shop, restaurant, and PGA instructors on site. On hot days they even have cool towels for you and they always have roaming beverage carts. The course is 6,633 yards at the longest tees, playing to a par of 72.

Course was in great shape, greens excellent, fairways better than they have been in the past. Course has good shade, important on a warm day like today. They have new carts this year and they are cleaning them between rounds.
Not worth the $70+
For $74, you would’ve assumed that the course was taken care of. The fairways had patches of dirt. No cart girl for food/drinks. The greens were TERRIBLE. There was dog feces on the greens. If the ball wasn’t in the fairway, it was lost forever because no one mowed what looks like days. The bunkers were not only hard as cement, there were rocks, grass, sticks, you name it. My local municipal course is better taken care of than Mays Landing. Please don’t go here until they fix this up.
Great round at May's Landing. 3 1/2 hours to finish...sand traps were in poor shape, but the rest of the course was good. Nice staff!
Very nice course with interesting holes. The back nine was in good condition, especially the greens. Front nine fairways had many bare spots and need some work. For a Saturday afternoon, it was not too busy and the round took less than four hours. Can't beat it.
Could be a nice course
We’ll. I’ll start by saying that the greens were very nice, everything else about the course itself was dreadful. The fairways were mostly weeds, and the bunkers don’t appear to have been take care of in years. You could see that this was once a pretty nice course but the level of neglect that it has endured over the past few years has tragically reduced it to the condition it is in now.
Course layout was nice but maintenance was average

Many were untreated with weeds growing in them
Was like playing on asphalt but worse
The course was in very bad shape. $75 for a round here is embarrassing. Greens weren’t bad but from the fairway to the sand traps the rough... could not get a good lie, crabgrass causing shots to go erratic... was just very poor overall. The staff was very nice and friendly however.
Without warning closure...
After the front 9 we attempted to grab something to drink & were told the clubhouse was closed for the remainder of the day with no warning to the players on a very warm day. One of us was forced to leave & get a few drinks.
