About
Former president of the PGA of America, Leo Fraser, designed the 18-hole public course at the Mays Landing Golf Club with both advanced and beginning golfers in mind. Touted as the "best birdie for the buck," the Mays Landing golf course provides a great value for all golfers. The course was meticulously designed over 175 acres of beautiful pineland with scenic tree-lined fairways.
Mays Landing Golf Club provides an experience similar to one at a private country club with its excellent service and amenities including a pro shop, restaurant, and PGA instructors on site. On hot days they even have cool towels for you and they always have roaming beverage carts. The course is 6,633 yards at the longest tees, playing to a par of 72.

Needs work
I’ve never seen anything like it. The greens were almost immaculate but fairways, tee boxes and bunkers were neglected. Nice layout. It has potential but needs work.
Terrible management
I booked a tee time for 2pm ,walking rate 1 wk ago with Golf Now and prepaid the entire amt.
when I arrived the Pro Shop was closed and when I called main number they could not get a hold of anyone. It was sunny and 40 degrees so I am not sure why it was closed. They were still offering tee times after 2pm until 5:45pm for the day. Save your money and avoid this place. It’s obvious they don’t care about their patrons.
Worst course in New Jersey
Fairways and tee boxes are nonexistent! No starter... no range balls. Acorns and rocks in all off the sand traps. I have seen better cow pastures!
Well..
The price was right. The course is really beat up, no water where water should be, water all over the place where it shouldn’t be. The greens were in better than average shape. No one really working the place. It was fine for late November.
The worst course in New Jersey
Tee boxes are horrible no grass just dirt. Fairway ...I’ve seen better cow pasture. No grass on any holes. No starter... no range balls... there all over the practice grounds. Sand traps ... no sand just acorns.. neglected for a few months.
Up keep
The greens are beautiful!!! Everything else, not so much so. 80% of the car paths have been destroyed over time or never built. No up keep on the sand traps. To get to the 10 tee, you have to drive within 20 yards of the driving range w/ no net. They have nothing, I mean nothing in the pro shop. They do not want you to bring your own beverages on the course, but they don’t have enough to support a group of people. If you pay more than $35 walk away.
Needs a little work
This was probably a nice course that has fallen into disrepair. Most of the greens were OK, fairways were very bad. All of the bunkers were filled with leaves and there were a lot of bare spots around the greens where I wouldn’t use my new clubs for fear of damage. I knew the reviews were bad when I booked this and I was prepared for the conditions. This could be the new face of Pandemic golf.
Much improved since the summer months
The coarse has improved in the last month, The greens are in good shape but the fairways still need some help, overall I give in better than expected score
