Mays Landing Golf Club
About
Former president of the PGA of America, Leo Fraser, designed the 18-hole public course at the Mays Landing Golf Club with both advanced and beginning golfers in mind. Touted as the "best birdie for the buck," the Mays Landing golf course provides a great value for all golfers. The course was meticulously designed over 175 acres of beautiful pineland with scenic tree-lined fairways.
Mays Landing Golf Club provides an experience similar to one at a private country club with its excellent service and amenities including a pro shop, restaurant, and PGA instructors on site. On hot days they even have cool towels for you and they always have roaming beverage carts. The course is 6,633 yards at the longest tees, playing to a par of 72.

Played Fast
Quick summary - not many people at the course on a cloudy day so played as a twosome in 3 hours. Green were well maintained but very slow which could be a result of recent rains. Fairways were fair and plenty of room to go for it off the tee box.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced course mid week near A/C, this course is an OK option.
Good Layout, eh conditions
Greens were in good condition, a bit shaggy but I’m sure the rain the night before our early morning round had something to do with that. Tees were a step down from the greens, okay but not great. The fairways were pretty bad. Not sure if they lost some to heat or disease but there was tons of brown, add in the crabgrass and the very thin grass and they don’t score well in my book.
Friendly Mays Landing
We had a wonderful time playing Mays Landing CC this week. The course was in great shape and was challenging yet fair. We got to the course early and had a delicious lunch in the course restaurant. We hit balls at the range and then some putting on the practice green. The staff in the office, the restaurant and the starter were friendly and helpful. We had a great day and would highly recommend this course!
Thurs afternoon round in July
Practice facilities are very nice, the staff very courteous and responsive. Fairways had a lot to be desired, need some work to get them up to par. Waste bunkers on just about every hole, many holes have them up most of the fairway, so you need to keep the ball in the fairway. Greens were in much better condition, the break seems much less than you think. Overall a very good value for the money, I would play it again.
course in great shape considering that its beginning of a drought in area. greens were really fast and staff were cordial..
Great Deal!
Nice layout with some good challenges. Spotty fairways but very nice greens. Friendly staff and a deal on Goose Island IPA on Saturdays.
A good value
Mays Landing was a decent course for the price. A typical south Jersey course where it gets sandy if you're off the fairways. Fairways were a little thin and bunkers need work, Greens were in nice condition.
Would definitly play here again.
Worth the $30
Beautiful day. Course was not packed. Played in 3 hours and 35 minutes. Tee boxes, bunkers, rough and fairways needed some attention and care. Greens were true and in great shape. All in all, for $30, a good day on the golf course, besides being beaten by my daughter. Staff was extremely friendly, which was much different from past years.
The greens were exemplary and true.
Loved it! My husband had 28 putts and I shot a 91!
Nice afternoon
Enjoyable course. Very fair for the average golfer.
Great Staff
Mays Landing was a fun round. Staff couldn't be friendlier from the clubhouse to the starter to the marshals and halfway house attendants. A short course but with enough doglegs and topography changes to make you forget. Tough pin positions but eminently fair. In need of some repair, especially the bunkers and cart paths but for the money a worthwhile round when compared to the $100 tee times in the area
First time visit
Staff was great and was at car to collect bags as soon as we parked. Starter got us out to course ahead of tee time which was nice. Course was not crowded and play was fast as we finished in slightly under 4 hours. Greens were in good shape. Fairways are thin and need rain/water. Much sand and in varied condition. I’ll take fast play over top conditions any day.
