Mays Landing Golf Club
About
Former president of the PGA of America, Leo Fraser, designed the 18-hole public course at the Mays Landing Golf Club with both advanced and beginning golfers in mind. Touted as the "best birdie for the buck," the Mays Landing golf course provides a great value for all golfers. The course was meticulously designed over 175 acres of beautiful pineland with scenic tree-lined fairways.
Mays Landing Golf Club provides an experience similar to one at a private country club with its excellent service and amenities including a pro shop, restaurant, and PGA instructors on site. On hot days they even have cool towels for you and they always have roaming beverage carts. The course is 6,633 yards at the longest tees, playing to a par of 72.

Good...but
Didn't find out had to play the back nine twice until after I met the starter, already paid, course good, pace super slow
Nice course friendly staff
Course was in descent shape considering the rain the previous days so there was some standing water. The staff was great and the tee boxes and greens were in good shape. There's a little hard pan ground along the edges of the fairways but the rough was not too deep so hitting from off the fairways was fairly easy. I recommend this course with 4 stars
Mays Landing golf.
Nice layout!! Needs a little more work on the edges.
Friendly staff, ok course
Paid 49.95 through GolfNow when the normal rate is 70. Greens were punched and were very slow for most of the round. Some tee boxes were a little beat up but the course was not in terrible shape from tee to green.
The staff was very friendly and the starter was hilarious. Really nice people.
Probably wouldn't play again if it was $70 but would consider with the discount.
Conditions
The course had 9 holes being aerated which I was not aware of until arriving. Played the other 9 twice and was in good shape.
mr.steve henning
course was under airation ..(front 9) we were never informed..some unhappy players
Do not recommend
I played Mays Landing for the first time and it was one of the wirst layouts I have ever played. There was 0 challenge and nothing exciting about the course. I had heard good things recently and gave it a try, but regretted it after playing the 1st hole. If you're looking for a challenge go down the road and pay up for a nicer track.
Oldie but goodie
The staff and convenience of this course are unbeatable. The food and bar are very good. For an old traditional South Jersey course this place is classic. No pretension just fun golf. I play here a couple times a year and thoroughly enjoy the experience.
This course has a lot of potential!
Beautiful greens, but rest of course needs a lot if work. Several poorly-maintained tee boxes, but a great value and a great course for beginners to practice.
Nice course played slowly
Arrived early as a single and was paired with a member and a father/son twosome. Enjoyed the course, but the play of our foursome was way too slow. Was actually told to pick up the pace around the 7th hole. The pressure of trying to make up ground took some of the enjoyment out of the round, but that was not the fault of the course. Our own play was at fault cause the course is not set up that tricky. Course was in good shape, nice greens.
Very Nice Course well groomed
Very nice Course great shape and its Aug and weather has been hot and dry. Great all around place starter was very helpful all the employees were very nice. Greens in fine condition especially for this time of year. Will be back for sure
Horrible Horrible Horrible
If you enjoy 5 hours rounds, dirt fairways. Rocky bunkers, useless Rangers and a 96 year old starter who doesn't group up pairs into 4 domes this is the place to play. Since new management took over this place is terrible. Greens are in terrible shape. They forbid coolers
But have no cart girls on 100 degree days. I'd rather play FDR
great day
great course for the price. very attentive staff. course is in great condition. will definitely be going back
For the Price
You can't beat it. I had just gotten off work, decided to play a round here. first time, and i would definitely play the course again. There were some difficult pin locations, fairways are open on some holes and tight in others. you're playing in a community so beware and be courteous. on a Sunday afternoon though, no-one behind me, so i definitely took my time. Great experience and would definitely play here again!
Nice but allow 5 hours
Got a good hot deal but pace of play is an issue.
No rangers enforcing golfers to play at a more manageable pace, and this was a Friday!
replay
this course is in the best shape that i have see it,I have played here over many years
Better but more aggravating
Greens are slow and not well manicured, fairways are better than they have been. The greens keepers are obnoxious. They walk right on to the green as you are setting up your approach shot instead of waiting on the cart path, then tell you to complain to the boss if you don't like it. Never going back.
May Landing Country Club
Enjoyed playing this course and will return soon.
Worth the Hot Deal
It was a Saturday afternoon, and as playing as a 2 ball, got stuck behind many foursomes. The ranger was present, but didn't seem like he had much influence to speed up play. The bunkers need a lot of work, but that could also be contributed to all the rain they got in the last few days. Greens are in excellent condition, but very slow. I was pleased because of the price I paid in the deal I got on Golf Now, but would have been a little upset if I paid more than I did. Would return if I was in the area, and I could get the same price.
Worth a look - new ownership
Course has definitely improved and is worth a look. Played on a Friday after heavy rains and the didn't restrict us to cart path only. They wisely roped off some areas that were too wet. Although greens were quite slow the course is in good condition. Definitely real value for your money. Friendly staff!
