Mays Landing Golf Club
About
Former president of the PGA of America, Leo Fraser, designed the 18-hole public course at the Mays Landing Golf Club with both advanced and beginning golfers in mind. Touted as the "best birdie for the buck," the Mays Landing golf course provides a great value for all golfers. The course was meticulously designed over 175 acres of beautiful pineland with scenic tree-lined fairways.
Mays Landing Golf Club provides an experience similar to one at a private country club with its excellent service and amenities including a pro shop, restaurant, and PGA instructors on site. On hot days they even have cool towels for you and they always have roaming beverage carts. The course is 6,633 yards at the longest tees, playing to a par of 72.

the course was in good shape dispite thehot weather
it was an enjoyable round until the thunderstorm hit on the 11th hole
Revived and Playable
Last time I played this course was 5 yrs ago, never went back due to poor maintenance. Course is now in great shape, good fairways, nice greens with exception of very slow roll. I understand that the greenskeeper is protecting them from 100 deg heat, leaving them longer; but they are the slowest I've ever played. They are very receptive, soft bounce and are very lush. you'll have to adjust your putting quickly. Sand and crabgrass off the fairways, hit 'em straight!
Butchrr
Haven't played there in a while but now the course is in fantastic shape greens are great and receptive. The pace of play was excellent staff very nice. I am looking foward to going back
ocbt 2016
nice course for the money we paid thru golf now. if possible will play again. nice layout..the cart paths are in need of some work but that doesn't detract from the golfing.
New Owners Making Great Strides
Greens in great shape. Hair slow, but necessary due to weather.
Fairways better than they have been in many years.
Staff goes above and beyond to make your round enjoyable.
MaysLanding
Greens in great shape, fairways much better than last year, new owners are improving the course.
Great Value For a Very Nice Course
I found this course as a Hot Deal on a Friday afternoon in July at the Jersey shore. It was a terrific deal for $24 and I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. While it is not Atlantic Country Club (which is about ten times more expensive), it is a fun and moderatley challenging layout. The Starter was especially friendly and set me up with a game. I will be sure to return.
Turn around
Since new ownership, this course has made a one hundred eighty degree turn around. Hats off to the superintendent, a great job! Superb staff, definitely out to please! Excellent food! Everything is priced to please!
Very Nice Changes
Having played Mays Landing numerous times over the years, I was surprised at the changes that have been made since my last visit ---all for the good.
They've switched nines, starting on a nice hole formerly 10. That eliminates longer walk/ride to old number 1.
But they have also changed the order of several holes. For instance, number 18 now number 16,. Now 17 and 18 are former 5th and six holes. Very much improved rotation.
Cost and condition of the course was good. And, you can play longer or shorter with various tees. Very much liked my visit and will return.
Best Shape EVER!!
Course has always been friendly and attentive, but the Course got hit by Hurricane Sandy pretty badly.. Under the new Ownership, they have made a strong commitment to get the Couse back to what it was, and they have! Tees, Fairways & Green are in GREAT SHAPE (Bunkers need alittle more work, though)!! Got a great Deal from GolfNow, too!
Great value for a summer Jersey course
Easy to book, very good value and friendly service. Definitely playable in 4 hours or less. Some challenging holes, greens were in great condition.
Excellent greens and good pace of play
Greens were in great shape, though a tad slow. Decent layout and pace of play excellent with several groups ahead on the weekend!
Nice course
Nice course, but local knowledge is really important. The new owners have revised the routing, making GPS less helpful.
Excellent round of golf
Course was in beautiful condition, especially for a day after a lot of rain, greens were fantastic, rolled true a little slow but for an infrequent player it was a big help. Will play this course again.
Great greens
The service is outstanding.. The starters are extremely helpful and support all your needs. All the staff is extreamly helpful , making for s great golf experience . I will be back again..Alfred Rusk
Fun Course
had a really enjoyable round. the greens were outstanding, ball rolled true. I was a single that got put with a twosome and another single, all three nice guys. The only negative was that the round took over 5 hours to play. I'm going to give the course a mulligan, as they had an outing of around 80 golfers go off a half hour before we did. However, my golfing partners said that the scuttlebutt was that the rangers haven't been doing a good enough job of moving players along when there is a backup. However...the course was fun, and in really good shape. I think I used most of my clubs, if not all of them. If you are wondering if you should play this course, go ahead and try it. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Nice greens
Staff was friendly. The greens were in fabulous condition. A hair on the slow side but putted well.
Plan to play there again. Golf Now special made it a good value.
Very nice fairways and greens
The course is in the best condition I have ever seen. but golf now has to change the yardages because they have changed it and made the front nine to the back nine and the back nine is the front nine now .fro. the tee box's to the greens are green smooth and for giving .
May's Landing Memorial Sinday
Had a 10:12 tee time didn't get off until 10:45 They have flipped the nines. It was Memorialmwknd Sunday but threesome in front of us was very slow Round took 5 hrs which is way too long for this course did not see a Ranger all day. Greens were in good shape played slow. Tee boxes were a bit chewed up course sees a lot of play. Overall good value for the money. Staff is awesome good selection of adult beverages on course at turn and in clubhouse.
