Golden Pheasant Golf Club

I had not played Golden Pheasant in a while, and I very pleasantly surprised to see all the improvements that were done to the course. This includes (but not limited to) all paved cart paths, tree removal for improved air flow and overall good course maintenance.

The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in very good condition. The greens alone were well maintained and very fast. The rough was thick and fair but not too high. The only knock on the course is the close proximity of the fairways to one another and the limited trees separating the holes, which can potentially make errant tee shots a danger for golfers on neighboring fairways. Overall, the course is nice play and worth the fee paid. Will definitely play it again.

Rain. Called course at 8 am. No answer with 5 minute hold. Called again 10 minutes later. Course said they were sending out players. No weather but the standing water on the course took away shot after shot because there was too much water everywhere getting between the ball & the club. Not until the 13th hole were conditions not soaked. Course should make better decisions on weather. On a typical day this course would receive more 5 stars ratings.

What the course lacked in length it easily made up with the deep grass right off the fairways. It made it very difficult to advance the ball out of the rough. The numerous blind shots made it difficult to navigate the course without a guide book. There were several bunkers under repair and inconsistent sand in a number of others. The natural surroundings makes the course appealing. But you must keep your eyes open for stray shots as some tee boxes are close to the prior green. Good luck out there.

Course was in great condition (rough was high) and all of the American Flags were a nice touch for Memorial Day Weekend 🇺🇸

course is challenging but fun for average golfer greens and fairways in great shape rough a bit high pace pretty good other than a group or 2 playing slowly short course 6000 from whites but don't let that fool you some tight holes requiring precise shots will be back thank you

First time playing at this course. Staff was super friendly, Course was well maintained. I really enjoyed playing here and will definitely play here again

This course’s conditions have been improving every year. Still reasonable greens fees. Pace of play was great. Played 18 in < 4 hours.

I always enjoy Golden Pheasant it is a great value and the staff are helpful. They have a nice restaurant/bar upstairs and good prices. I play at least a few times a year here.

Course was in very good shape, pretty inexpensive compared to similar courses. It was a slightly slow round but I think it was due to one group a couple ahead of us in particular and not really the courses fault. Only other negative is there are a lot of blind tee shots that dog leg around the corner or the hole makes a drastic change in elevation making it pretty hard to determine when you are okay to tee off without hitting into the group in front of you. Would definitely recommend though!
