About
River Vale Country Club (formerly known as Bergen Hills Country Club.) sprawls across the gently rolling hills of northeast New Jersey. It has been ranked on Golf Digest's list of "Best Places to Play," but it still manages to remain one of Bergen County's most well kept secrets. You'll hardly ever run into crowds on this golf course. The layout has a classic design that incorporates a variety of elevation changes. Tricky uphill and downhill lies will be your biggest challenge on this layout. Strategically placed bunkers lurk beside the greensides and there are several holes where water hazards come into play, including the par-5 fifth, which has a lake on either side of the green. River Vale a tight golf course that demands accuracy and while it's not overly formidable, your skills will definitely be put to the test.

The course is in great ccondition. Greens are tough, run at 10 and tricky to read. Bunkers strategically placed where you hit your drive.
Nice course
This is one of the better semi-private courses with a nice layout and fairly challenging greens. Great value.
Awesome
Had a slight frost delay this AM, but considering it is November 2nd completely understandable. Course was in amazing shape, love it. Greens not as fast as usual, the fairways were awesome. Will return soon!
What a Nice Course
Today my friend and I played a round here and we were very impressed. The course is beautiful and well maintained. A challenging course but not too difficult. The greens are very tricky. Some of the toughest greens I ever played. For a Hot Deal for $50. It’s worth every penny. Can’t wait to come back and play again

Course was packed...yet we finished the round in 4 hrs and 15 minutes. The greens were is great shape...quick with just enough slope. The staff was outstanding. The bar/grill room was very comfortable. Will return to play again even though I have to drive many worthy courses to get there
Great course and great value with GolfNow Hot Deal
The course was in great shape, but the greens were MOVING. Fun track, and a lot of sand to keep you on your toes. Cant beat the GPS in the carts. Even if i had paid the full course rate, not the discounted hot deal, i would still not be upset with my purchase. top notch semi-private course!
Very good course, excellent greens
Course was in fantastic shape especially the greens, which were fast but true. Pace of play was great but it was a Tuesday midday round. Highly recommend especially if you get a hot deal

This is a super enjoyable golf course. The conditions were excellent even considering that the greens were recently aerated. It is fun but competitive course.
