River Vale Country Club

The course continues to be in great shape and tons of fun to play. The pace of play was a bit slow, especially for a mid-week day. Too many people playing tees too far back. We had to wait on the tee-box for 3-5 minutes on every hole. Rangers need to do a better job moving groups along.

Tee’d off at 8 AM on a beautiful morning with a friend and had an incredible round at River Vale Country Club. The course is in immaculate shape—maintenance crews were actively working throughout the morning, repairing divots, raking bunkers, and keeping everything pristine. The greens were lightning-fast and true, making putting a real test of control. The layout is fun and challenging, with a great mix of tight fairways, elevation changes, and well-placed hazards.

Carts are modern and equipped with GPS screens, and the pace of play was perfect—no pressure from behind, no delays ahead. It felt like the course was all ours. Overall, one of the best-kept and most enjoyable public tracks I’ve played in the NY/NJ area. Highly recommend!

RVCC never disappoints. Even after morning thunderstorms we were able to tee off with only a 15 min delay! Course was in great shape, drainage was superb.

With a Twosome ahead and Threesome behind us, pace was great and we finished 25 min ahead..

First time playing course with family in town from Las Vegas. We all loved the course and thought it was in great condition! Had lunch at the onsite restaurant and food was great too. Highly recommend!!

good day over all just decided to leave after 13th hole it was so slow and its hard to keep waiting every shot.

It's a nice course. It is sort of a lynx style feel as it's open and it has fescue and rolling hills. Three short par threes and one really long one over 200 yards. There's also some really challenging par fours that could really be a par five and maybe should be. Each hole is pretty unique. The pace of play was a little slow, granted it was a Sunday and it was a nice day out and it's not an easy course either so it was not a surprise. They have a nice snack hut at the turn, a putting green, and the driving range is nothing great but at least they have one. The clubhouse could use an upgrade but they do have a bar and sports on TV. . It might seem pricey, but the round comes with the golf cart. Trust me you don't want to walk this course it is very hilly.

I played River Vale Country Club on a Friday. 11:40 tee time. Didn’t even tee off till close to 12:00. The front 9 was very slow and by the time I got to the back, my group would finish a hole and the group in front of us was still waiting too tee of the next hole. I would expect this of cheap hack city type. Courses but for $115, gotta do better than that.
