Spooky Brook Golf Course in Somerset is a player-friendly course that is perfect for beginners. It offers just enough of a challenge but it still allows you some room for error. At 6,655 yards from the back tees, the golf course is relatively short but the greens, tees, and fairways offer plenty of room. The mostly flat terrain makes for an enjoyable walk and it's also wide open. While the golf course may not be the most formidable test, it does have a few challenges in store. Water has a presence throughout the course, especially on the back nine. Whether or not you are looking to hone your skills or if you want a casual round, the well maintained golf course appeals to any skill level. In addition to the course, Spooky Brook G.C. also has a driving range that you can use to warm-up.

Great shape
Conditions were great. Sand in bunkers was a bit lacking, but not the worst I’ve seen. Still very playable…trust me, I had many opportunities to try.
Enjoyable day
Spooky Brook is a fnice course , wide fairways relatively flat greens and very good conditions. The pace was very good except for a single we were paired with that easily added 30 minutes to the round. The group in front of us were probably at home by the time we finished. The groups behind I'm ver y sorry we tried to push but no luck
Wide open and well maintained
Had a great time for 13 holes before the storm came. I’ll be back.
Early year golf
Spooky Brook is in good condition for early in the season. The greens had been aerated in the prior week or so and were sandy and also dry due to the hot weather.
Great outing
Course was in good shape early in the year, course should be mint by May. Check it oiut.
Slow pace of play
As a local I have been playing at Spooky Brook for many years. This is one of my favorite Somerset county golf courses. I teed off at 3:20 as twilight. Because of the slow pace of play, we had to finish our play at 13th hole. I understand there is no ranger to keep the pace of play and there might be many beginners due to the relatively easy course layout. However, the party in front of us was extremely slow. They waited to their tee short until party ahead of them holed out on long par 4. Just be aware that you may encounter the similar situation playing here.
