Spooky Brook Golf Course in Somerset is a player-friendly course that is perfect for beginners. It offers just enough of a challenge but it still allows you some room for error. At 6,655 yards from the back tees, the golf course is relatively short but the greens, tees, and fairways offer plenty of room. The mostly flat terrain makes for an enjoyable walk and it's also wide open. While the golf course may not be the most formidable test, it does have a few challenges in store. Water has a presence throughout the course, especially on the back nine. Whether or not you are looking to hone your skills or if you want a casual round, the well maintained golf course appeals to any skill level. In addition to the course, Spooky Brook G.C. also has a driving range that you can use to warm-up.

The course
Really enjoyed playing at Spooky Brook.
Pace of play was fast. Staff was friendly and I really liked the course layout.
Fairways weren't bad, but there were some spots that had patches of hard dirt and divots.
I would recommend this course to others.

Course conditions near perfect from tee box to greens!!
Course Conditions Excellent
From putting practice green to tee box’s right to the greens! Excellent conditions even after a hot hot summer! Grounds crew must be professional!! Play here you will not be disappointed!

Good course especially for the price. Good open layout for beginners and intermediates with good visibility.
Victim of Dry Summer
Fun Course, relaxing layout, doesn’t punish too many errant shot. Course is very dry where rough is brown, dry hardpan, and many of the sand bunkers play like hard-packed construction dirt. Greens were reasonably smooth and green considering the dry summer we’ve had this year.
Probably a better play in the spring..

Course was in great condition especially considering the lack of rain. Greens were true fairways were great

Good track in good shape with a pace that could have better but all in all worth it
Pleasant golfing experience
The course is level enough and fairways are wide enough to provide a chance to hit good shots and enjoy the round. The greens and bunkers were in very good condition. The back nine holes are interesting and diversified, bringing some fun to the round.
Great for me
I had a great time. The guy in the office was cool. Lenny the cart guy was awesome. And the course was fun for me. I’m a beginner and I was challenged but it was pretty wide and straight. I’ll definitely go back!

I had a good enjoyable afternoon on a very nice golf course. Definitely be back soon.
Fairly open course in good condition
We teed off at about 9 am yesterday (Monday). Groups were spaced very well and pace of play was very enjoyable. Greens, tee boxes and fairways are well maintained. Holes tend to be fairly straightforward, with lots of open space. I would definitely play it again.
