Spooky Brook Golf Course in Somerset is a player-friendly course that is perfect for beginners. It offers just enough of a challenge but it still allows you some room for error. At 6,655 yards from the back tees, the golf course is relatively short but the greens, tees, and fairways offer plenty of room. The mostly flat terrain makes for an enjoyable walk and it's also wide open. While the golf course may not be the most formidable test, it does have a few challenges in store. Water has a presence throughout the course, especially on the back nine. Whether or not you are looking to hone your skills or if you want a casual round, the well maintained golf course appeals to any skill level. In addition to the course, Spooky Brook G.C. also has a driving range that you can use to warm-up.

Solid course
Pace of play is always solid here, not many off course amenities but it’s a great open course for golfers of all skill levels

Great! Nice Pace, greens and fairways are in pretty good condition! Like a Private golf course!
Dry Conditions
The dry conditions made for a ok round, not the fault of superintendent.
I guess it would be Mother Nature fault not raining enough.

Staff is friendly. Practice facilities excellent.
Well maintained. Greens and fairways in very nice condition. Tee boxes and cart path both in pretty good condition. Layout is friendly but also presents some challenges, especially from longer tees of which there are four sets. Been playing here for almost 30 years and have always enjoyed it, and especially in the past 14 years or so since the course maintenance improved considerably. Always a pleasant round.
For a county course it is outstanding.

Great course for a fun round
We always enjoy playing a round at Spooky Brook golf course. We generally get there once or twice a year. As a Hot Deal, the round is a great value for non resident players. The course is relatively flat and fairly wide open. Spooky’s main challenges are the smallish greens and green side bunkers. The whole course is in really great shape but the greens roll a little too slow for my taste but it is a great place for a fun stress free (almost) round. Enjoy !!
Beautiful day out
Course is very walkable. Greens were very slow as they needed to be cut.
Great day at Spooky Brook
Spooky Brook is in very good shape, with healthy grass everywhere. The greens a still healing after aeration, so they are smooth but also a bit slow. When the greens are rolling again I would give SB 5 stars
