Spooky Brook Golf Course in Somerset is a player-friendly course that is perfect for beginners. It offers just enough of a challenge but it still allows you some room for error. At 6,655 yards from the back tees, the golf course is relatively short but the greens, tees, and fairways offer plenty of room. The mostly flat terrain makes for an enjoyable walk and it's also wide open. While the golf course may not be the most formidable test, it does have a few challenges in store. Water has a presence throughout the course, especially on the back nine. Whether or not you are looking to hone your skills or if you want a casual round, the well maintained golf course appeals to any skill level. In addition to the course, Spooky Brook G.C. also has a driving range that you can use to warm-up.

Easy, entertaining course.
The starter was very polite and friendly. The course was in very good shape. The green had been aired recently but were very playable. I bet that in normal conditions the greens would be very good. It is a forgiving course. Most fairways are quite generous. The rough was not impossible but not that forgiving either. The bunkers were tidy but did not have as much sand as I would have liked. A good option for sure.
Scenic course with beautiful surrounding
Enjoyed the course layout and its impeccable conditions. Fairways are well kept and pace of play was great. Will definitely play there again.
Excellent condition - wide open course
The was our first time at this course. The course was in excellent condition. The fairways are wide open, good place to play if you are having issues with your tee shots. Will definitely play here again.
Good time
The course was in good shape and the gentlemen that work there are extremely nice. The only neg. was that many of the sand traps had water in them from rain two days before. Luckily I didn't land in any!! Otherwise it's a very nice course for intermediate players. Nothing too challenging.

Greens large with plenty of slope. If putt well you can score on this course. Over played course!
Wide open layout, solid value
Spooky Brook, while certainly not a challenging course due to the layout, was enjoyable to play. The course is wide open and forgiving off the tee, and the course itself is in really great shape. We had a bad downpour the day before, so some of the bunkers were holding a decent amount of water, but that was the only real issue. All in all, really good bang for your buck with the hot deal pricing. Will be back to play again.

Excellent course, wide-open fairways.
Great place to work out the kinks with your driver. Greens were nice and the rough manageable. Friendly staff.
Unusual Round of Golf
I had booked the tee time through Golf Now. I got there almost an hour early and had time to talk to the starter. There was no one on the first tee, and no golfers in sight, so the Starter told me I could wait for the rest of my group (I was a single) or just go off.
I went by myself and enjoyed the course. I caught someone practicing on the 17th green, but that was it for humanity. A very pleasant, unstressful day of leisurely golf. And the staff could not have been nicer. Course was in above average condition considering the heat we have had.
Wide Open Spaces!!!
We loved the course...1st time playing there and we will be back whenever we are in NJ!! Staff was great, the grounds were trimmed and neat. Loved the fairways, wide open...greens were slow, but in great shape! Overall, great course!!!
Great Conditions!
I was very impressed with the conditions of the course. Greens, fairways, traps and tee boxes were all very well kept. The staff were all very friendly. I appreciated the stocked coolers with water out on the course on such a hot day. The course does play easy as it is pretty wide open but overall a great experience.
