About
The Palms Golf Course is a tract that locals and visitors alike just love to play. Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1962, the Palms was completely renovated by Karl Litton and Lorie Viola in 1996.
The accommodating fairways make it easier to hit your tee shots in play. Once on the 'dance floor', the Bermuda greens roll true and quick.
The Palms Course has a number of picturesque water hazards. As its name would indicate, the Palms features lovely native Palm trees throughout the course.
It is most definitely a true Florida golf course and one, which everybody should put on their 'must play' list .

Great way to end 2020
Course was in good shape. Would be nice if golfers would fix their ball marks. Must have repaired 6 per hole and didn't put a dent in it.
Surprised by how well the bunkers were maintained.
On the holes that parallel the driving range, there should be a sign alerting golfers to the position of the driving range. One of the members of our foursome almost got taken out by a range ball.
Poor Maintenance
This course seems like a course that is out of money and is about to go out of business. It’s just nice enough to still go back and play if there is no other tee times. Other than that nothing is very visually attractive. Car paths barely exist and the signage on the course is very low
Sunday Pace of Play
Some of the forward White Tees were in pretty bad sections of the Tee Box. Held in the staging area waiting for a Tee Time. No invitation or instruction to use the practice arrea or driving range.
Course could use help
Pace: ok except for group in front of us. They were waiting for the group ahead of them to clear the green before teeing off
Tee boxes: por shape. Also boxes were sloped so feet weren’t always flat when teeing off
Greens: pretty good except for some spots. Overall good.
Fairways: ok. Rough a little weedy in spots.
Has Seen Better Days
Honestly I was disappointed with the overall experience. Course Conditions were fair at best and the Tee boxes left a lot to be desired. Starter wasn't welcoming either. Got there early, sign said dont check in until 15minutes prior to your T time and the starter said something to that effect so I never was able to get on the driving range or putting green before the round due to his misinformation. Meanwhile my golf buddy got there just like I did but separate from me and he somehow managed to get on the driving range for an hour before our round.
Not worth the price considering other courses in the area are in much better condition, have friendlier staff and not as expensive.
Don't bother.

Have to say this course was a disappointment. Clearly in some bygone era it was beautiful but the course conditions were poor with the T boxes all torn up (more dirt than grass) and the golf cart paths with potholes and cracked cement everywhere. It's not a cheap club to play and I definitely expect more from the course conditions for my money considering there are many other courses in the area for less money and in much better condition.
