Not the best but better than others!
Not a bad track though a little funky layout on the front nine. Greens were shaggy and a bit rough and bumpy though green and grassy. Pace was incredibly slow as many older people that move that quick and I say this being 65!
Won't be back
If you like slow play and slow pit-marred greens, then this is your place. On a beautiful day, our group had a mid-day tee time. We started 20 plus minutes past our tee time in route to a 5 hour plus round. The tee sheet showed double booked tee times, that shows a greedy for money course management. Won't be back. EVER!
Great Day of Golf
Great people and value on a fun layout! It is a go to each time I visit the area.
meh
layout was fun, staff was friendly. greens need work. spots of no grass and sand coming up under them and then the actual pace on them was apparent that they weren't taken care of like they should be. expected more for the price with twin isle in same price range and close enough, would just opt to play there instead. has a ton of potential but needs some TLC on the scoring surface.
Deep Creek
Fun course in nice shape but greens were not very good, slow and bumpy. Our foursome played in about 4 hours. Par 70 with back to back par 3’s. Some holes were tricky to figure out where they went but would recommend .
Very good and well priced
The course is always busy and can be slower than one would like. The rough around the greens are tough. It is a fun course and well priced.
Greens and pace of play
Front nine is not set up well for pace of play. Greens were terrible this early in January. This course has lost me as a player. We played here last May and it was terrible then and not much better now in early January. Why so many people play here is due to a shortage of courses in the area. Save your money on courses that are trying to improve and not taking the cash and running. Even executive courses are in better shape than this course, sad!
Not worth it
I’m usually not overly critical however don’t spend your money here. Cost me $92 including a bucket of range balls. Before playing I went to the range and it’s an iron only range, which I can accept. I got paired up with an elderly couple from Canada, who were very nice and just beginning. So to say the least, it was taking us several extra minutes per hole because they were not very good. But it wouldn’t have mattered because on most holes there were two groups waiting before we would get to the tee box. If it were a normal group playing with me, I’m sure there’d be three groups on the tee. After a 3:05 front nine, I called it quits and let the couple play the back by themselves. No course marshall….so if it’s taking 3:05 to play nine holes, someone in front of us thinks this is normal….ITS NOT! The greens are slow and extremely grainy and it appears they punched them not too long ago because there were holes still on them and they were filled with sand. Again, not being critical because that’s part of taking care of the course but fill up the holes. And lastly, the layout is very vanilla. I was bored to tears because of the pace and still shot -2 from the tips and wasn’t trying. Tips is only around 5800 total (par 70, 34-36) but still very blah. I’m not sure what there out of season rate is but guessing it can’t be more than $30/round our they’d be broke. Just not much here folks… The staff was nice but $92 for that??? If that’s the case, I’ll take up another sport.
Rain or shine! Very nice course!
Tee time was 12:25, it rain all that morning and startingettung up about 12:45. We went of at 12:15 with light rain. Course was soggy but about the 5th hile it stopped raining and the sun came out. Had a great time, nice little course, par 70 about 6000 yards. Can't wait to play when weather conditions are better!
