Nice Course
A bit expensive but nice course. No driving range. A LOT of water. Greens were in good shape except for one or two. Drink prices at clubhouse were ridiculous! No refreshment cart working the course.
Manage your expectations
course has potential, layout is challenging and hazards are plentiful but greens are slow, fairways were messy and there is no range
Course in disrepair
Pin positions are unrealistic greens are horrible no first cut no recognizable green. Fairways are decent. Tee boxes are good. The course needs some love.
Disappointed
If it weren’t for the hot deal which after playing the course was still not a great deal. Course is in terrible shape
Owen Boyagian
It appears that they are putting the greens on the back burner. They are in very poor condition. All of us commented about had we paid the full we would be extremely upset. And none of us would be back. There was no grill at the turn not even deli sandwiches in the cooler only candy bars.
Fun Course on Sanibel
You pay a bit of premium to be on the island, so the course fit and finish was not as good as a similarly priced course on the mainland (rough condition, fringe to green transition.
I liked the seashell surrounded tee-boxes and there was lots of wildlife, including a few gators.
Great staff and appreciated the coolers full of beer.
Fair layout. Greens in good condition rolling a little on the slow side. All trouble is clear to see from the tees. Overall a good experience.
Sanibel island
Good course I’m good shape other than wet due to heavy rain. That’s out of their control staff was super nice and efficient
Sanibel
The greens were in bad shape with a lot of dead spots and sanded areas.the fairways were fine but the aprons were inconsistent.Cart paths were in bad shape.I liked the set up of the tees. The course booklet contained very little useful information about distances to hazards.
A Nice Course, Wonderful Staff
This was the first time we have played this course.
Wonderful treatment from the owners and staff.
Course was in reasonable condition for the time of year, but some wear and tear was evident in areas.
Reasonably difficult with a number of interesting holes.
Priced a little higher than some of the other local courses of similar or better quality.
Overall a good experience, and we will play again on our next trip here.
Lovely wildlife
The owner is hardworking to keep the course in good condition however it is overpriced given the quality. Very friendly staff and convenient location when staying on Sanibel Island. We did not spot the croc nor any Gators but saw many birds and liguans.
Massively overrated - in that price range you get much better value
Greens ok-ish, fairways fine, second cut horrible. You should not have bad luck concerning pace of play on a course for 69$! There was no marshall and we were playing behind a twosome of total golf ignorants! Loosig contact to the threesome ahead of them it took us four hours to play behind these two who e.g. were still on the T-Box when we finished our 2nd to last shot on the par four behind them! They were all over the place (and I am fully aware this happens to all of us from time to time, but then again it is a question of rules how long you are looking for each of your balls!). Rather spend same kind of money on Raptor, Corkscrew, Magnolia, River Hall et al. - but not in Sanibel where you have to pay an additional 6$ for the bridge!
Major Improvements over this summer.
Just played the Sanibel Island Golf Club course for the first time in 3 months, and the improvements to the layout, tees, greens, and fairways made this summer are fantastic. I liked this course 6 months ago. But I love it now. Tees, greens, hazards, and fairways are all much improved, and make this course a must play again and again.
Nice course and friendly staff
playes it 3 times. first time it was raiing. so the staff didnt charge me for the rental clubs. 2 time they were top dressing the green, so it was free of any charge. Thank you
Great course
Beautiful course. Great job in renovating the course. We will definitely play at this course again.
Nice course
I played the course one day after they aerated the course. The pro shop called me in advance to inform me about the conditions. I went ahead and played and I am glad that I did. I really enjoyed the course. The course was in very good shape. There was some work going on at the par 3 12th hole but everything else was fine.
Drew (one of the owners) was very helpful. He really cares about your experience at his course and he will make sure that you have a good time.
The next time that I’m in the area I will play the course again. Good price for a good course.
If convenience is your priority
The greens fees are to be expected for a vacation location. You get the convenience of not having to leave the island to play. For the money, however, you would expect better tee box grooming, ball washers, and greens not burnt out. Looks are more in line with an overplayed public course.
Beautiful flora and fauna
The iguanas were the best.... a great play... only thing wrong was the heavy traffic across the bridge 45 min wait.... but the staff was very accommodating.
