Sanibel Island Golf Club

Well worth it, tough layout and fantastic fairways.

I enjoyed my round of golf here. The course was a fair test without being tricked up. The greens were a little sandy. Other than that the course was in good shape. I will play here again.

The greens are a little weathered Looks like they have just been seeded. The are fast and small.

Very challenging, you must play good course maintenance on a few holes and yes the greens are sanded but if you love golf it shouldn't matter. Great value if you book early through golf now makes it even better!!

If you’re looking for championship play then you should look to pay a $100 more on a course off the island. If you are a casual player looking for fun on a well kept pretty course then you have arrived. The water hazards aren’t placed within feet of where you want to land, there is no tall cut to eat your balls, the fairways are well kept, the off fairways are very strikeable. The greens are in good shape, generally thin and therefore for quite slow, (read forgiving). It’s fun golf where you will score well. If you’re on vacation it’s a feel good game in 3.5 hours or less.

Course is nice but greens were just ok, little sandy and bumpy. Front nine much more challenging and longer as we played the blue tees. Back is shorter and easier but very playable. Got a hot deal for 63$ and well worth it.

On numerous holes there was a lot of standing water in the fairway. Not very good drainage on the course causing to take a drop in numerous occasions or not being able to retrieve a ball.. got to the course early before my round so I could loosen up at the driving range. Come to find out they don’t have a driving range at the course at all. For the same kind of money I played on Monday and got great service from the course was also allowed to go hit practice balls nice putting green and staff was friendly. When we got to this course there was one man that was doing everything trying to handle the golf clubs as well as check us in inside the clubhouse. Perhaps it was because we teed off early not sure of course was fine once we got rid of all the water to be fair

Greens were sandy. Fairways really nice with no rough. Nice layout but overpriced

The course was in very good shape but we were not told on the Golf Now app or when we signed in at the course that the greens had.partially gotten a top coat of sand throughout the course. The holes were well designed. The staff we met were very friendly and when the person checking me in discovered it was my first time playing the course, I was given a booklet explaining the best approach to playing each hole. The restaurant is closed (although opening back up again soon).

Nice staff, fun course but way overpriced. Greens were in very poor condition. Needs work.

We played the Saturday after the tropical storm hut so the course was still soggy but playable. We played from the tips and there was definitely adequate length and trouble to challenge all skill levels. Price was a little expensive but expected since it was on Sanibel. There is a putting green but no driving range. We’d go back.

Haven’t played a course so mis-priced for years. Neither the layout nor the condition of the course is in reasonable relationship to the price.

Better to play the nicer but still lower priced dunes course on Sanibel

Smooth reservations and challenging play. Smelled the gulf breeze, delightful.

Golf course is in excellent shape. Fairways are perfect. Greens roll true. Layout is challenging with a lot of risk rewards options. Drew in pro shop is fantastic and offered yardage book to help with learning course. Played 4 rounds during my stay on sanibel. Would recommend playing here

We LOVE this course. We live just down the road about an hour South of Sanibel in Naples. There is no shortage of great golf courses in our neighborhood, but this island track makes you feel like you're playing a round of golf on an island in the Caribbean. The subtropical plants, trees, and wildlife are EVERYWHERE and it's both magical and beautiful. The fairways are generous and the rough is fairer than you would expect. However, the hazards are truly dangerous, and the greens can be spotty and slow. The rates will be going up now that summer is over and the snowbirds are on their way back to Florida so we will be missing our golf road trips to Sanibel Island Golf Club.

I have lived on Sanibel for 26 year's and have recently started playing the Sanibel Island Golf Course more than once a year I have found the owners and the course excellent you can tell they have put there heart and soul into making this course the best it can be and has ever been period. They appreciate your business and it shows have played there 4 times this summer know my wife and I by name course greens fairways better than they have ever been in the 26 years we have lived here I would highly recommend this course to anyone either visiting or living here who has not been here in a while it is greatly improved from the hard work of the owners.
