Sanibel Island Golf Club

All three golfers had a great time on the course. All the holes were different and fun to play. The greens were excellent and rolling true. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A great value for the money. We will be back soon.

I did not like the quality nor the speed of the greens! Big differences from green to green.Most disturbing was the fact that the sprinklers were running while going through the halfwayhouse and we could not avoid to drive through the spray of smelly water!

Course is in good shape. Challenging but still fun. Very friendly staff.

Have played this course a number of times over the last 3 years... they have put in some improvements and the wildflowers are very pretty. Tee boxes still in relatively poor shape and the fairways were pretty stressed out from the unusually dry winter. If you are looking for a nice round of golf and can get a discount on their rack rate -- not a bad course to play -- especially when its not too busy.

This course is a “must play” when visiting Sanibel Island. Beautiful course with a challenging layout. I really enjoyed all the Florida wildlife on the course. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Even though they called it the “off season”, the greens and fairways where in perfect condition.

Super friendly staff. Would never say anything but great things about the staff. The course was really disappointing however. Fairways were junk and the greens were worse.

Before traveling to Florida, like most people I was looking at the different courses and reading reviews. I saw many negative reviews about Sanibel Island Golf Course and was concerned, but since we were staying on the island, I decided to give it a go. Quite honestly, the course was in pretty good shape. Some burn spots on the greens, but really did not impact how the greens rolled. Us northerners come to Florida and expect these perfect lush golf courses, probably unfair expectation for early March, but the truth is Sanibel Island was a lot better than most courses up north in March and it was a windy 70 degree day. A bit pricey especially since there is no driving range and no drinkable water on the course. But, I'll play it again some day. I liked the layout of the course and the people were great.

Low key place with friendly service in the pro shop. Course condition was OK but could use a little more water to green it up. Also need some amenities on the course, at least some water. Count on some traffic during the season. Easy to get to and would recommend for all golfers.

First time playing this course which all three of us liked. The layout was great and each hole is different. It was a rare course open on Christmas Day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hurricane damage to trees was all cleaned up. The conditions were good considering the weather and recent hurricane but the fairways could use some water and greens were somewhat sandy and slow. For the price the course was a very good value.

This golf course and the people who run it are excellent.

The course is challenging and the scenery is Beautiful.

There is some hurricane damage but it looks like it has improved the fairways and greens a lot with the extra water. I never found a bad lie I did not deserve.

play this course and enjoy the views and the solitude. I played as a single and finished my round in less then 3 hours. Awesome experience.

Being one of the only public courses on Sanibel Island in Florida, this course holds it own. I was surprised at the lack of a range, but they had a nice practice putting green at least. The clubhouse is nice and they have a great restaurant attached to the clubhouse. Staff was extremely friendly and really made me feel like a valued customer. It was not very busy, so the pace was set by me, which I liked. Greens were nice and firm, well maintained. Course has some very cool holes and very neat par 3's. They warn you of Gators hanging out in the traps, I only saw one swimming but that was cool. This is a very quiet course and a nice place to spend an afternoon.

i had played this course in july 2017. Service for cleaning the club was bad. I had missing the service with drinks and snacks. The golf course has an very sad designed and unkempt and neglected.
