Black Mountain Golf Course

It's been 5 years since I have played there! Great job on fixing the drainage problem in the fairways! Greens were good and great staff as always!

I’ve always enjoyed playing this course. This year the condition of the course is better than ever. The pace of play for this round was a little slow but only because of a group that was playing a few groups ahead of us. The staff is nice and there is a grill that has exceptional food. I live about an hour away but try to play this course a couple times a month.

Not long but good test of your iron and fairway metals. Very good par threes with plush fairways and nice greens. Well worth playing

Great day!! Par 6, lookout. 190 into 18 , on in 2 and I 3 putt!! Arghh. LOL

very nice Bent greens. No discernable fairway/rough margin at most places. Older design, with minimal fairway bunkers, and greenside bunkers not strategically placed. Some unique holes, with #17 Par 6 being one. Not a championship-type course, but with more of a nice municipal feel. Few areas where one needs to be cognizant of other golfers, so as to not get hit. Enjoyable to play and would like to play again.

First time playing course, short course with exception of the monster 250 yard par 3 and 700 +,yard par 6 . The greens were the biggest I’ve ever played on a Mt. course. That being said, you can really have a super long breaking fast putt. There is a par 3 on the back that has one of the biggest greens I’ve ever seen , and it’s definitely the widest of any par 3 green I’ve ever played, and I’ve played A LOT of courses. The greens were in excellent shape and beware of some sneaky breaks. When I pulled into the course and seen it, I was not overly impressed due the appearance of the course, there is a lot of clover blooms everywhere, but I was pleasantly surprised about the turf when I got out on the course. It was like hitting off a mat even though when I played it there were no lines cut between the fairway and the rough. It was July and the greens were very firm and the ball was jumping a little on approach shots, I was picking up a club due to the thinner air and the jump I was getting off the mountain turf.. Play the jump and you should fair well. Temp was awesome and the air was clean! This course could be a gem with lil more TLC on the cosmetics!

They have worked hard to make this a great course. Great attitudes. Call ahead on 8th hole to restaurant and food is ready and piping hot, ready to go or eat on the spot. No complaints and hope to be back soon.

Very pleasant day today. Golf course is in good shape except for fairways on 4 and 5. Greens were very smooth and some what fast. Played in 3 1/2 hours behind a foursome. Very enjoyable.
