Connestee Falls Golf Course

The course was in awesome shape, the fairways were lush green and the greens were great (but a little too slow). The course layout was nice, but didn’t really challenge you on many shots. We had a great time and would play there again.

Had a great ti e, accuracy is key, very good conditions, greens were a little slow.

No, it was a little complicated to get there, playing here was well worth the effort and the money! It is an absolutely gorgeous golf course with lots of deer, and I had heard lots of white squirrels, but the only one I saw was an almost white skunk… But he was cute anyway! The course itself is fantastically, beautiful and extremely well kept… It is not a hard course to play, but quite challenging at times… I would highly recommend this place to any golfer!

If you like a moderately challenging course that is always in great condition and with abundant wildlife, this course is for you. You will use every club in the bag, but the real test is reading thr greens. This is a must play in western NC.

Great Conditions… some of the best within and hour of Asheville!

Place is lush wall to wall. All holes in great shape. Greens roll just the right speed and are true. Check ML was very friendly, and gave us a green light to go. Water and ice dispenser by door. Not a busy day, so our twosome was thru the front in 1 1/2 hr. Good carts. All in all a good day one good course with beautiful scenery. Don't hit the deer on the par threes!

Play was really slow-called the club house and they said they couldn’t do anything about slow play…ladies would be insulted with such a comment

The golf course was in fabulous shape from the tee boxes to the greens.Very well maintained with each tee box beautifully adorned with unique flower boxes sponsored by different families. The surroundings were breathtaking views and lines with greenery. The course was challenging due to the local terrain changes and ups and downs. Really fun to play!

I’m general a perfect golf course. I played in Cherokee yesterday and would argue hard that this course is better and half the price.

This course was in the best condition I have ever seen. It has been several years since I last played this course. I will definitely be back to play again. Fabulous conditions and be prepared to see deer, even on the green sometimes.

Great course. Only negative is the the extreme slope of greens on the back side, making it difficult to keep the ball on the green while putting from above the hole.

The course is always in great condition. Each hole presents a new challenge and you can really use all the clubs in your bag depending on which tee box you play from.

Connestee Falls is a wonderful blend -Mountain course, George Cobb design, semi-public access, interesting layout, excellent conditioning and friendly staff. What’s not to like?

The course is not the longest, but it has tees for almost every ability, and the fairways are remarkably wide for a mountain course. Fairways and greens and surrounds are almost perfect - few bad lies and fewer bad rolls. There is not a lot of sand or water, but the greens are small and most misses will require an excellent short game to save par or bogey. The front is easier than the back, which has more elevation changes and steeper greens. There are a couple of blind driving holes and a couple more that feel awkward from the tee , but all are manageable once you know your way around.

All in all, this is a beautiful, fun and well-groomed course with plenty of challenge to go with the views and enjoyment. It is indeed fortunate that it offers some public play. CF offers very good value and a rewarding golf experience.
