course lay out was great

No fault of the course but mother nature dumped so much rain, the course was more than wet. Would love to play when the course is drier. The deers on the fairways were truly not afraid of us golfers. Lol.

Great course in western NC

Course was beautiful, though wet from recent rains, so cart path only, which made walking difficult for older folks. But, condition of course was superb. Greens rolled true and were great, fairways had lush grass. Deer roamed the area and saw some on nearly every hole--most were tame. Good course for anyone from scratch to mid level. Not as easy for any beginners due to sidehill lies. Thoroughly enjoyed it despite cart path only.. Great value for the money.

Beautiful Mountain Course

Great course. Beautiful layout and in good condition. It was CPO due the heavy rainfall over the pass two week. Was glad to play with two members, George and David.

Look forward to returning!

Soggy Connestee Round

Beautiful weather day on a great layout at Connestee, but course was still very wet even after two days of fair weather. Several areas of fairways and especially around greens were still sopping wet. Groundskeepers unable to mow the fairways and rough and the greens were very soft, shaggy and slow. Many shots plugged. When drier, this is a terrific mountain course!

1-2 rounds a week

Taking in consideration that the area gets a lot of rain, the course was very wet, no roll out on any shots. A lot of plugged shots. Members and guests not good at fixing ball marks on the greens. Don’t know when they cut their greens lady, but putting was like putting on a thick carpet. You better hit the fairway or the green on all shots, or there was a 50/50 chance of finding your golf ball golf ball in the thick rough. Cart path only was not a friendly golf course for a 72 year old senior. In the positive side, seen well over 50 deer, lots of wildlife, and beautiful views. My opinion would probably been different if the course wasn’t so wet and cart path only.

Wet but beautiful

Another great round at this beautiful course. Mother Nature had it soggy from rain. Otherwise extremely well tended and always a good day

Great day golfing

We had a 12 tee time and it rained right up to about 11 fairly hard. The course was wet and it was cart path only. The condition was excellent. It couldn’t have been greener. The greens were soft, some were a bit too soft due to the rain. We were one of only 3 groups that were out there that day. We played in 3 hrs and 20 minutes! The wildlife was amazing, probably due to no one on the course. It was a wonderful day of golf. The course is hilly, with many blind shots, but very challenging. Can’t wait to play it again.

What a treat!

Beautiful mountain scenery and exciting holes to play for all skill levels. Immaculate condition. Deer co-exist on nearly every hole with waterfowl that may speak while hitting. Fairways and greens beautiful. We were lucky dodging the rain and wife and I finished 18 in 3:15—with cart path only, which tired us out. Very hilly, so lots of different shot opportunities. Would return in a heartbeat. Course is separate from residential/resort homes so GPS can be misleading. Ask at gate if you get routed the wrong way. It’s about 10-15 min from Brevard NC. Had a very nice tavern for both lunch and dinner but was closed from 3 to 5 so couldn’t try it. Looked very cozy and reasonable.

Hilly

Course was beautiful with many wonderful mountain views. What I didn’t like were all the approach shots into the greens that were up hill with some very steep!

Nice Track!

My wife and I had a nice time. The range could use a little work, but the overall course conditions were good. The starter was very conscientious and helped us get started on time. Our pace of play wasn't good on the front nine - I'll blame the couple with whom we were paired (they only played nine). There was a lot of wildlife, including a fox and a white squirrel. We stayed after the round for drinks and dinner at the bar/grill. A good time!
