About
Located near the banks of Swift Creek, Lochmere Golf Club has plenty of water incorporated into the layout, coming into play on nearly every hole. The golf course stretches across a lush, gently rolling landscape sprinkled with mature trees and ponds. The terrain showcases the best in Triangle golf. At just over 6,600 yards it is not particularly long, but it provides plenty of challenges. It is a tight course that will test your accuracy with narrow fairways lined with trees. The small greens that are heavily protected by well placed bunkers demand thoughtful strategy and pinpoint control. The golf course offers a fair challenge but it is still accessible for beginners, especially from the forward tees. Lochmere G.C. is a favorite among Cary locals, both for its enjoyable design and its affordable rates.

A nice course to play
I really enjoyed playing this course. Course was in good condition. I haven't been to this course in a few years but found a Hot Deal so decided to return. Nice looking course.
Good
First time playing golf here. This is a course that I plan to play again......enjoyed the group and play.
Wow... What a surprise
Hadn't been back in over a year and all.I can say is excellent job on the refinements and overall course conditions. You turned #11 from an embarrassment to a thing of beauty. All this and that was playing on punched greens. Can't wait to return and try out the greens. See you in a month

Course honestly was in great shape, 1 par 3 did have a temporary tee which wasn't a real inconvenience,
Solid course without touching the driver
My driver was getting regrouped so I teed off with my 3 wood all day a day and I was able to reach pretty much all the greens in 2. Very enjoyable and approachable for a decent golfer
Lochmere Is A Solid Public-Play Course
The fee is reasonable. The course has welcomed variety in its layout. Fairways are growing in nicely for this time of the year. Greens roll smoothly. Pace of play is average as too many golfers do not adhere to “playing well, play fast; playing poorly, play faster.” Four practice swings to hit a worm-burner is agonizing to watch, but certainly not limited to here. I would recommend Lochmere as a good value and pleasant golf outing.
Best suited for walkers
Greens are some of the best in the area for a public course. Well maintained even with the heavy volume of tee times. One of the best walking courses in the Triangle area because of the flatter layout.
