Westport Golf Course

I thought the greens were fun and fast. The fairways and tee boxes could use some work. The layout was really fun especially for us amateurs. There are some fun risk reward holes, especially the short par 5's. Overall it was a fun course, but a little love could make it a great place to play. I will play it again just for the greens and the par 5's.

I was surprised at the condition of the course. The course is in pretty rough shape for late Spring.

It is a country golf course on condition but the greens are worth the trip to play Westport!

You will get on in regulation and three putt the round away!! Slope and grain are critical to read. Fun track!!

The cart paths need a lot of work, the tee boxes are hard as well as the fairways. Pace of play was very slow on the first nine, I think some people left after playing the first nine holes. There is only chips and candy for snacks. Not a bad course to just hit some balls. The Golf Now price is the only way to go with this course.

First thing that struck me was how friendly the staff was.

For the price I got on Hot Deals the course was a pleasant surprise. The Greens rolled well the Tee Boxes in some places were a little rough, but the course looks like it is recovering well from the winter.

Played here several times and this was the worst round yet. Fairways not in good shape and several greens were pretty rough. But, the pace is what made it so bad. We left after 4 hours only playing 14 holes! We were behind two 3-somes and a 4-some. One of the 3-somes had no business on a golf course. At least practice a little before you play. Taking 2-3 balls off of some tees and not a one of them could hit a straight ball. But, when you don't have anyone telling them to speed up how do they know other than common freaking courtesy!

Glad we only played 9 holes. The pace of play out here is always very, very slow. The fairways have too many bare spots. Tee boxes aren't in the best of shape, and the greens already have the poa annua on them. I wish this course could return to the way it was about 20-25 years ago. Will not be going back.

First time playing Westport in at least 15 years. Enjoyed the course. Good friendly staff. Greens were in good shape. Several fairways were in poor shape - clay, dirt, dead grass. It’s winter golf, glad to get out. But I’ve played other local courses in better condition.

Poor conditions from tee to green. Pace of play slow. Cart paths are crumbling. Greens sandy and horrible condition. Tee boxes missing markers and yardages not accurate. Even course provided yardage book was wrong. Only positive is staff was pleasant.

Haven’t played this course in a long time. It is apparent that they don’t spend much time at all maintaining the course. Decent layout but cow pasture conditions.
