course was in pretty decent shape for mid-Nov..grounds crew was still at work..nice course to play

Course was in great shape other than a few fairways that were very wet. Of course, that is to be expected in mid November.

Soggy so "cart path only" slowed up play. Overall it's a nicely maintained course, but it's always a bummer when you show up at a course to find out that they recently aerated the greens (I should've read the other reviews!). Autumn golf, beautiful scenery with tree colors, but those bump bump bumpy aerated greens. Still beats a day in the office 7 and 6.

Played the day after a heavy rain. Course was in very good condition for the circumstances. Overall layout was good and several holes were unique.

Greens had craters on them from the aeration they just performed! I love how a hacker 30 handicap golfers come out here thinking its going to be an easy course! Its one of the hardest in the area! They do need a marshal. It took forever waited on every tee box! What a joke! I would wait to play pevely next year cause the areation marks will take forever to heal. Good luck if you play the Plinko greens.

Great course, only had a couple issues. One, they need to communicate to customers when they are doing maintenance... They had just airated the greens, which made them almost unplayable. Since I booked online with GolfNow, I had to play or lose my money. A couple of the greens had big bald spots, that didn't look like they were even trying to fix. Staff did not try to be friendly, cordial at best... I really like the course, and have played it several times, but this visit was the worst experience here. I hope this will not become the norm here, because it is a great and very scenic course...

Got a grear deal here on Golfnow.com. The course was absolutely awesome, and is highly recommended. Tough, especially the back nine, and is not kind to the rookie golfer.

As it turns out, it was quite unkind to me - but the great course, the splendid crisp fall weather, and great buddies made it all worth while.

Instad of the starter sitting on hit butt at the clubhouse,pay a marshall to get out there and speed up play. What a joke. I just skipped around the course playing open holes as opposed to waiting 20 minutes on each tee box. A round would have taken 6+ hours to finish.

Just an amazing course in the outskirts of St. Louis in the hills of Eureka. It will not disappoint.

I've played Pevely a few times and I like the layout. It is a nice course with nice scenic views, and always in good condition. It is very playable from the forward tees, tough from the blues, and all that you could handle from the back. I arrived as a single, and a 7:15 tee time so play was fast. Staff was very friendly, and gave me the choice of playing alone or pairing me with others. They even moved me around to an adjacent group to better match my game.

Beautiful outlay. If you haven't played here before, it is difficult to gauge what club to go with sometimes. Great value for the money. Some holes are quite challenging and others quite easy. #18 is a great look.

Sort of slow play for my liking, but it was a great course. Can never go wrong playing Pevely. Some great views out on the course. It is spread out so be prepared to drive a ways between holes. No complaints though.

Unfortunately, you have to dodge construction equipment. I'm sure it's for the long term good but it was a major distraction on the back nine. Also the only time the beverage cart came around was when we were on the 18th at 3:30.

The course is a very good layout. Some holes very challenging, then an easy hole. A good mix! The very bad part is the pace of play. They have no marshals on either nine . If you suggest that they could use one they say he is out there. This is one of those courses that while playing the 15th hole as an example you can see all the holes ahead of you. When you are on 15 and there is no one on the three holes ahead of you except the two groups waiting with you on the tee , that is an issue. When the 5 hole gap is reported to the pro shop at the turn ,they react with, we have a marshal. Problem is they don't. 6 hours is plenty of time to finish a round. Hey Pevely , find a retired guy and give him free golf to marshal..it works everywhere else!!!

Pace of play needs to be addressed. 18 holes on a Tuesday morning should not take over 5 hours. Everything else was great.

great course and in perfect condition! pevely makes you use most of the clubs in your bag which is good i think.

Course in very good shape. Staff courteous. Was pleasantly surprised to run into refreshments cart a couple of times on a very hot day.

I have a love hate relationship with this course. I like the layout of the holes, don't care for the greens, they just don't seem to be real true, I wonder how often they are rolled if at all. Biggest complaint is the uneven lies that are common all over the course. The back nine is more challenging than the front. The slope from the Blue tees is much higher than the Whites, more than what they state.
