Best ever
I have played this course before and this is the best shape I have ever seen it overall. Greens were about 10's and putting true. It was very windy so course played longer. Dave is an excellent pro and has done a great job with this course. 35 minutes from Tidewater area. Make the trip it is worth the drive. Can not wait to play again
Challenging course
Forecast called for rain and there weren't many groups out on the course and I was able to play 36 holes in 5 hours. Course has a few tough narrow fairways that could lead into a lot of trouble.
The course has elevated greens
Great shape, greens rolled great, lots of subtle breaks that are hard to read
Great staff and course
We were greeted verbally and with a smile. The Pro talked briefly about the course. We got the yardage book and was glad we did. We will recommend this course.
Good track
Great Value at $30 for our round on Sunday. Not very busy and if you like to have some cushion under the ball this is the place for you.
The Pines is worth the trip to Elizabeth City
First time playing this course and have to say that it was an enjoyable experience. Great value for the money and the course was in good shape. Fair test of golf for all levels of play.
Great Course
Had a great time the course was in the best of shape. The staff was great. Excellent food and beverage after the round. Will definitely go back to play again.
excellent course
The Pines at Elizabeth city is an excellent golf course.. narrow fairways that are like carpet. The greens were in excellent shape. We played just a few days after they had the big storm go through and it was in great condition. The pro shop staff was very nice. We played from the back tees and it had some great par 4s that were 420+ yds.. if your looking for a country club atmosphere without the price this is a great course.
Awesome Putting Greens
Although I played in cold weather, the course was in very good shape and the greens well kept. The Pines have elevated greens, dog legs, long 3 and 4 pars so be prepared. Definitely, will stay on my travel course list!
Challenging placement of water hazards
The elevated greens make scoring harder than first glance. Some of the fairways run side by side so stay alert. Greens are well groomed and above average speed.
Definitely, GO Play
Worth the ride if vacationing on outer bank . Country club setting
Poor instructions for bad weather.
The course was very nice. Played straight forward, what you see is what you get. Greens rolled slow, with not much break. Links style course. Sounded the horn but no lightning was near and delayed us for an hour with no rain. Some groups stayed out and played. They did a poor job of explaining their policy and once you came in you couldn't go back out, IT NEVER RAINED!!!!! Once we did get back out the group that was behind us before the horn was pulling up to 18. We only got thru 12 before a major storm came in. Had we known the horn wasn't for lightning we could have gotten all 18 in. : ( !
best condition of any course i have played
I have never played a course that every lie in the fairway was perfect. Elevated greens rolled true and speed was great for my level. At $40 I got more than my moneys worth.
Excellent course!
Approaches to greens sometimes narrow and challenged by water. Don't be afraid to lay up! Greens in excellent shape.
Great Course
The course was in great condition. Loved playing here will definitely play this course again.
