Lost greens
Ok, so it was a sloppy day at The Pines but that is what winter golf is in this part of the country. However, The Pines have always had beautiful, excellently manicured greens but not today! Every single green had major damage and it did not appear as though they were addressing the issue. Really sad because this used to be a treat of a course to go play from Great Bridge.
Awesome course for a great day of golf.
Has always been a great course and now is run by the Y. Great addition to the neighborhood.
The Pines of Elizabeth City
Still like playing the course. It is a challenging layout. But it doesn't seem like course maintenance is being done as well under the new YMCA management. Greens are going away and during a previous visit we had to bypass two greens because there was so much goose s___ you couldn't putt and this was mid morning. Bistro is still pretty good, but changes are happening there too. Liquor stock has recently been removed. Luckily the staff at the Pines remain friendly and helpful.
Greens spotty
The course is in great shape. The concern I have the greens are starting to show burnt out spots.Hopefully the greens will make a come back.It was a 3 hour round and a hot steamy day
Great Day
Always enjoy the course .2.5 hours for 18 .Everything is always right
Not a pushover
Fun course that looks like it has no teeth. Don’t be fooled , this track has elevated greens that require landing skills if you’re going to score. Well worth the drive from the Outer Banks to get a good challenge at an affordable price.
FunCourse for all levels
Everyone who helped me were excellent and professional and worked me into a tight scheduled course play. A ladies tournament was under way, but it was fun to observe them along the way, as well.
Pines Elizabeth City
Tough course. Most greens are small and elevated. It will challenge you
Always a pleasure
I may not play well but it has nothing to do with the course.Greens are always in great shape.Play is always around 3 hours or less .
Great Day
Good weather, good greens now if I can only make the ball go straight
Another great round
Drove from the Outer Banks and had another great round at the Pines. Course was in great shape, challenging. Great value and friendly staff (Pete!). Thanks, I'll be back.
Okay
I only played the front. Course was in good shape and had some nice holes.
Worth the drive from the Ouer Banks
Nice layout, moderately long, plenty of water. Greens and fairways in great shape. Not much play. Very nice and friendly staff. Well worth the drive from the Outer Banks, would definitely consider playing again. Somewhat hard to find as the course in now affiliated with the YMCA, no mention of that on the website. Thanks.
nine hole golf course
only nine holes were open had to play front nine twice to get eighteen holes in the back nine were closed wish i had known this before i booked it
