Golfer Reviews
Unusual to find a course like this in this area
My 4th time playing here at Broadmoor Golf Links, and my 4th time fully enjoying. It's worth the drive and value to come across Sams Gap from East TN. to play a course unlike what i can play nearby me. I appreciate the fact that Broadmoor partners with Online discounted teetimes to allow a few spots a week become a bit more affordable for me. Was also extremely glad to hear that after the adjacent Airport obtained this property, that this gem of a course was not closed. I understand that the airport is NOT in the golf business, and wishes to make money their way, but you simply cannot destroy such a God made/man enhanced property to take joy away from the large percentage of golfers, who will appreciate such a beautiful layout. I've seen too much of this happen in the golf mecca of the SouthEast, Myrtle Beach Grand Strand area, where developers purchase and destroy golf courses, for more lucrative, to them, parking lots, business structures, ugly uniform style apartments, etc. I'm grateful the Airport paid attention to what must have been an uproar from the golf community. If i would be critical of one thing, it simply would be : "where is the black tees for the ladies?" My wife played from the Green tees for Seniors, and as you can imagine , several holes became a serious distance challenge. Terry Rice
Fun and challenging
Fun course; lots of water but a fair challenge for beginner golfers like my son and I. Very impressed with quality of course conditions despite recent rains.
Interesting Layout
Probably the flatest course you will find in this area, but the layout makes up for the hills. Course was in good shape. Greens and fairways were great. The bunkers need a little work. Will definately play again
Slow play has returned
Today’s round was 4:40 minutes- no ranger or anyone interested in pace of play, clover and crabgrass everywhere...It did allow us time to laugh at the airport board that rumored to want to put a hotel in this swamp...Obviously they are not aware of the multiple flood issues that occur every year here...jus another way to waste taxpayers money-yes the board works for us...Wish they would find another way to meet their fanatics.....Like putting a stop sign at the merger of Hunter road.
