good condition
we had called the day before to request 2 more players to add to our 2some at the regular rate. got there and some old man could not figure this out. the pro cut in and took care of us and apologized so no biggie. course in very good condition but greens a little slow. only one real complaint. there was a farmer on the property next door plowing and the manure smell was almost unbearable. you could smell it on every hole. VERY STRONG SMELL.
Not your typical mountain course.
Relatively flat with plenty of sand and water, this does not play like a typical mountain course. Greens and overall conditions are slightly above average. Enjoyable test but trouble to be found if you're not hitting it straight.
Good golf test.
Challenging course with water and trees. Long hitters can use the back tees for a real challenge. Greens are in good shape, and fairways are improving with the weather. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good golf test in WNC.
New golf cars with GPS
It's early spring, so greens were being aerated and the course was not busy. Love the GPS in the new golf carts, which is something new that I hadn't seen here before -- I hadn't played the course since last summer. Clubhouse restaurant was still closed (due to open April 1) so had to buy a snack in the pro shop. Family-friendly place.
Interesting course
The sign off the highway is quite small, so we had to make a u-turn after we sped past. First impressions weren't good as the odor of cow manure was strong. There didn't seem to be any value in booking through golf now other than convenience. The price was the same. Driving range and putting greens were great. The course was in good condition. You won't find lots of balls in the water. It was deep and dark. It isn't a mountain course, but you are close enough to have mountain views. We'd certainly play it again.
nice setting with lots of water in play. airport traffic is distracting at times but also a point of character
very good course for the money and will continue to play it
Great value. Lots of bang for the buck.
I always enjoy my rounds at the Broadmoor. Nice views, Greens in good shape. its my "go to" course in Asheville.
Many holes with water in play
Usually in good shape, this course can be a challenge because there is water in play on many holes, with several forced carries. Make sure you play from a set of tees appropriate to your skill level. It is a links-style course which appears somewhat open but craftily has many places where you don't want to hit the ball. The greens are usually great, sometimes fast. (One special note: It doesn't drain that well, so avoid it after the area has had a good bit of rain.) Nice clubhouse, snack bar, and two putting greens that are well kept. A good, available value for fun golf!
Challenging but well laid out with right mix of water and sand bunkers.
The course has challenges with water coming into play on many holes; however, it is very well laid out. The greens were true even though they had been conditioned for aeration. Broadmoor is a very nice course and a welcome change to others in the mountains due to it being a level course (more similar to what you would find at the beach). I highly recommend the course.
