First Visit
I thoroughly enjoyed playing at Broadmoor. Check-in was smooth and the young man behind the desks was very welcoming. There were a few holes where we had to wait to either tee off or approach the green, but it was minor. With all the "mountain" courses in the area it was good to find a more traditional layout. I will be back to Broadmoor soon!
Terrible check in accommodation
nice course but noisy due to airport across street & I 26 The ba²d part of all was the management. I played in many different state and other countrys in the world from everyday courses to high end ones .This one was the worse experience in the last 20 years of golfing.. Bruce andrew the check in clerk at the Broadmoor proshop and Gary the starter did not try at all to accommodate their guests whatsoever. With noone at the tee box for over an hour prior are tee time. they wouldn't try to accommodate us for an earlier tee time ( keep saying we're back up all afternoon can t do anything multiple time) .
I never write reviews but those 2 people should take some hospitality classes or maybe leave that industry. If they don't want to be there. How do you wake up in the morning and will do anything in your power to give a hard time to your bread and butter. Starter Gary also mess up with an another party of 2 for no reason. Threaten them with pushing their start time by 30 minutes for literally being 2 minutes late, Insane !
The owners group should take a look at their poorly run operation (those guys will kill your business)
.The pitching range was in the worst shape ever, flag wouldn't even stay in hole due to dirt accumulation. Other than that the course was in good shape and nice green.
It's too bad because you could have gained a bunch of new regular golfers, instead we will keep going to Connestee falls, Cummins falls, and other well run courses in the area..
The fairways were in terrible condition. It was cart path only because they said they had seeded the fairways no evidence of that.
Across from the airport!
I had a few hours to kill before my flight and Broamoor is right across the street from the Asheville, NC airport. Fun track, but not super difficult. Great scoring opportunities. Shot my low score for the season. I’ll come back!
Expensive
70 bucks sadly about average price for weekend golf. Carts don’t have coolers. Even in scorching heat they won’t allow a cooler with ice and water is absolutely ridiculous. Starter and staff act as if you are playing a private country club. Other than that the course is in really nice condition. Fun layout with a lot of water/danger all over.
Not for 60 dollars!
While paying this course often I’m so over it. No carts in the parking lot, old hole locations not covered properly. While playing today guys on mowers just came into the fairway, while I’m about to tee off. On every par three I was on a guy was in the green side bunker with a tractor, I’m not the best golfer in the world so he definitely wasn’t safe. For 60 bucks you can play way nicer course’s in the area. Won’t be playing broadmoor any more.
SO SLOW!
Course looks great right now! Greens are fast, fairways are in great shape. The pace of play was unacceptable! Group of three in front of us (4). Took almost 5 hours! Pace of play definitely needs to be monitored more closely!
Very poor pace of play experience
Very poor pace of pay and friendliness of staff was non-existence. Left after 12 holes that took almost 3 hours and 30 minutes. No apologies from the staff after I brought this to their attention.
Great layout but you better be able to place your ball.
