About
Oak Hollow Golf Course is one of two municipally owned golf courses in High Point, N.C. This Pete Dye design is the newer and more popular of the two. The layout features several Dye signatures including pot bunkers and railroad ties but it's the small, undulating greens that are the most recognizable Dye trademark. The golf course has an interesting mix of holes, including several risk-reward opportunities. It's a course that will make you think, rewarding strategy and accuracy over might. The signature hole is the par-4 sixth. This 420-yard hole wraps around a lake with an island tee at the tips that will test the brave. Oak Hollow's toughest hole, though, is the 437-yard 11th, also a par 4. You'll need a perfectly placed tee shot and then after you're met with a triple-tiered green that sits along the water's edge.

In town for conference
Oak Hollow is a nice layout and was in very good condition. The greens were soft and held, and putting was true. You have to try to clear the lake on 6, very cool shot. Would play again.
Nice Course. Tight Backside
This was my first time playing Oak Hollow. Greens were in good shape, fairways were decent. Staff was friendly. Grill staff was above average. Super friendly. Starter guy was nice and informative. Front side was like most other courses but the backside tightened up a bit. Bring you A game for the backside. This course was hour from home. Would probably play again if in area.
Course is great condition great course but tough👍
Tough but fair course
I wish I would have played better. I had an off day and the course certainly took me to task. Course is well maintained and a great challenging course. This course would be punishing for high handicap players. Target golf at its finest with some very fun holes with high risk high reward if you are on your game. The course was in great shape all around. Really good pricing and pace of play was right on where it should be. I will definitely be back to play this course again and next time I will bring my A game.
Best for the Price in the Triad
Booked a tee time on a whim for a single player. Fortunately I was able to get one and only paid $32 prepay online for 18 holes. Showed up and went into the pro shop. Had some good items if you actively looking with good prices. The snack bar reminded me of a small cafeteria but a glizzy was only $2, so I wasn’t mad at the cafeteria set up. Course was in good condition, greens were excellent. Got slowed up by a foursome of teenagers. I don’t think they knew the etiquette and Charlie (one of the Rangers) politely told them to let me play through. Overall 5 stars. I will make this one of my regular rotations.
Fun Course
Fun but challenging course! Very scenic and in good shape. Pin placement was pretty difficult. Not normally that difficult but the greens keeper must of had a bad day. LOL.
Pace of Play is a massive issue
Could only get through 11 holes before calling it quits. Had a tee time at 11:18 and left after four hours of constant waiting on tee boxes and every shot. Course is great besides that but if you want to play 18 holes just make sure you have 7 hours set aside.
Course is in great shape and the layout is outstanding. Pace of play was terrible. Took us over 5 hours on a Thursday morning. Basically after hole 1, we waited on every shot. No rangers to speed up play. Grill room folks are always friendly and nice.
It's been a while. See you sooner than later.
Brought a golf buddy from Durham and he was greatly impressed. I hadn't been here in nine months however, your course was in fantastic shape and the staff welcoming. Would like to shout out the greens in particular. They seemed more challenging than before. Lot's of undulation and different speeds. We liked it.
Can't wait to return to see what the summer offers. Thanks for a great day!
Always a fun day around the lake!
Always a great day at oak hollow. The greens always struggle due to the amount of play but are true, not fast. The fairways can be punishing when it is this dry. But I love every time I get to play here.
