Wendell Country Club

This course was only back 9 available, so we played that twice. It is a reasonably open course with nominal water hazards. It was quite enjoyable for an average golfer. However, even a good golfer could make it challenging on themselves and yet still have fun. We will be back.

The course is a bit dry (it would help if we got some rain). Greens are very nice. Price was right.

The course was nice. Some greens were being worked on and had some sandy spots. Everything was fast and the ground was hard and dry but with the drought going on it’s understandable. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Pace of play was good. Good course with good value. Very walkable as well.

I thought the course was solid overall. Some greens were in rough shape, but the drought’s been killing them according to the Starter. There’s a few tough tee shots and this is not an easy course, but very playable. The staff was great and the food was absolutely fantastic. One of the best chili dogs I’ve had.

When paying 70 dollars to play I would expect course to be in solid condition. Every other green was either under repair or had huge creators in the middle of it. It would be different if they would at least give you a heads up before paying 70 for a round, but they give no heads up and make you pay full price. I liked the layout of the course, open, a good average golfers layout. But good luck hitting any putts when they’re are obstacles in the middle of half the greens.

A few holes that were challenging but overall a very nice round.

5 hours to play golf! Very slow pace of play. Course is well taken care of. The greens are a great challenge; fast with the undulations and rolls. Careful if a twosome, you will be pared with randoms and good luck if they know how to play.

The staff seem to be cliquey. If you are a stranger to them, they have very dry personalities. Didn’t like how the fairways get errant balls from other holes and people trying to hit their shots while you are trying to hit yours in the correct fairway. I get it. They gotta make money. And you can tell that’s what is is all about.

Title says it all. Staff was friendly, clubhouse was friendly and not stiff like a lot of the clubhouses I have been in recently. The grill was very simply but tasty! The course was dry but played true, consistent, and in overall solid condition.

Course showing effects and of drought Tee boxes hard a few greens in bad shape. Personal gripe is they have green signs, which you are supposed to drive golf carts past, sometimes about 150 yards from green. Don’t understand why they do this particularly the course is extremely dry.

It’s a decent enough layout. Varies from hole to hole but many of the greens are not currently in great shape- it hasn’t rained much recently so this understandable. Some hard tee boxes. Not gonna break the bank and I played in just over 3 hours. Decent value course compared to the rates some others are charging around here these days.

Like my golf game, WCC is getting better each week. The greens have been sanded and are all in great shape, a nice improvement over previous years. They have spent money repairing the cart paths making for a much more comfortable ride around the course. Look forward to playing again and seeing the continuous improvements.
